Décor Aid

Decor Aid was a great choice for our kitchen renovation. We had some trouble figuring out where to start, but our designer Greta was more than helpful with sorting out all the knitty gritty details. It was a much larger undertaking than we planned for and I’m sure we would’ve been in completely over our heads had we not had Greta and Decor Aid to guide us. We were always able to get in contact with the project management team which was extremely comforting. Even though the kitchen was our main project, we also had Greta help us out with getting some new pieces for the dining room and living room that connect, so that everything meshed well together. The end result couldn’t have been better!

What started out with a simple paint job ended up with a really dramatic overhaul throughout our home as our project manager Michael and designer Chloe opened our eyes to so many possibilities that my husband and I had never even thought of. And we are glad they did. Instead of coming and going, they exposed us to a vision they truly believed in and delivered on it when we clearly had no clue. Now we love our home again and ended up spending way less than we thought it could cost.

To be honest, most of the personal services my husband and I use are more often then not a headache. But Decor Aid's designer took all the cues she needed from us and virtually left us alone until the project really needed our input. There were no late night calls, endless texts, and no empty promises. Elle delivered on time, was professional, and really took what we had to say and how we live into account. I never even write reviews but their services were just that good.

If you're looking for a professional local interior designer that's more than all talk, I highly suggest you consider Decor Aid. Besides sharing a bond with our decorator Lisa, my husband and I found great value in their complete services and I think we saved about $3,500 or so with their furniture discounts. All in all, we love it and will use them again!

Mary got our taste, right from the start and was able to design and source custom pieces at very reasonable prices (the trade discounts really came in handy). Very professional to work with. Our designer Sheryl had great ideas yet stayed in our budget and timeline. The discounts we were able to get offset our design fees. Planning to use them in the future again.

I am usually not the one to write a review but my experience over the last 15 months with Decor Aid has been too outstanding not to give them the support they deserve. This is our third apartment and after years of reading the usual magazines and spending lots of time on Houzz we wanted to go all out. The design team spent an incredible amount of time and attention to every detail of our project. My husband and I at times felt actually overwhelmed by the choices presented. We expressed our vision for our new home in the beginning and our emphasis on having an all connecting thread run through the project despite some of our statement rooms. I won’t pretend I wasn’t anxious when placing all the orders while entirely trusting the design team to have captured how we wanted to live as a family. Actually, it was nerve wrecking and given the amount of custom contractor work, we decided to live in our old apartment until everything was finished. We thought it’s best not to go there until everything is turnkey ready. I’ll never forget the day we finally walked in. It’s way beyond what we expected and what the design presentations communicated. Sophia convinced us to add the dining room package which included an entire new collection of fine china to host our first dinner party. The design team did the walk through with us to do the entire punch list which took hours. Once they left, my husband and I set down in our new all custom living room and were honestly speechless. We love our new beautiful home and continue to find little details in the apartment which relate to our individual personalities. It’s stunning. Now, to write that there were no set backs during the entire project wouldn’t give the full picture. Our first selected millwork contractor got too busy with another project and informed us on short notice that he can’t complete the work. An upholstered sofa had to be returned by the design team several times to the upholsterer and several delays and backorders occurred from the furniture vendors. That caused the final walk-through date to be shifted three times. The Decor Aid team was always on top of those problems and fought hard for our interests. We are sure they got a lot of grey hairs chasing the contractors given the scope of our work. Glad we chose to go all out from the beginning. The additional custom items and especially the dining table set up just pushed the envelope. Thank you to the entire team for your perseverance and personal interest in the project. We can’t speak highly enough of you and wish your company the recognition and growth you so deserve.

We just needed a quick refresh for our living room and they did an incredible job. On time and under budget. The living room is super comfortable and it looks like something out of a magazine. Would definitely use them for another room in the house!

The brownstone we just purchased was very outdated, and we wanted something more modern, but still comfortable enough for our 2 young children. Alex found some great vintage light fixtures that totally fit the mid-century look we were going for. The walnut wood they installed is beautiful, and we love the marble they picked out for our bathroom. Our house looks amazing! My husband and I loved working with Decor Aid.

When I moved to the UES, I hired Decor Aid to help decorate my new condo. Modern, pink, and shiny was how I described my style to Sofia and she knew exactly what I wanted. The chairs that she had custom-made for us look great, and I love the way my apartment looks. Would definitely work with Decor Aid again!
