Amanda designed the kitchen in my house in Fernandina Beach Florida. She was wonderful to work with; excellent communication, creative and really understood my vision. She made the design feel modern but at the same time appropriate for the age of the house. She had so many ideas for little details that really pulled everything together. The peninsula added seating that i didn't know I needed and is my favorite spot! I couldn't be happier with the whole process!

Working with Amanda and the DesignFix team was fantastic! They are so responsive, adaptable, and able to work within our budget and come up with a very comfortable and easy to use space. We love it and will be reaching out in the future when our budget allows for more!

It was such a pleasure working with Amanda. I needed help redecorating our living area and master bedroom. After several years of renovations on our house, I had so much decision fatigue. After discussing what I was looking for, Amanda took everything into consideration and incorporated it into her designs. Everything was so organized and streamlined and communication with both Amanda Giles and Amanda Wise was excellent. We are so happy with the finished product. It feels like a new home!

We started a remodel of our kitchen and living room. I became quickly overwhelmed when the contractor asked me to pick out my cabinets and counter top. I spent hours on Houzz and going to design rooms. I felt like I was going to spend a lot of money and I didn't want to pick the wrong things. A friend recommended Amanda and design fix. Amanda walked us through picking out everything. She listened, suggested and encouraged me. When we were almost finished she then helped me select furniture, rugs, and window treatments. Every day I'm in my kitchen and living room I absolutely love it. Amanda made my remodel look amazing. Thank you Amanda!

Amanda and Shelly did a terrific job at understanding what we wanted in re-decorating our living room. They listened and and really understood the feel we were trying to have in this large, white room that has so much potential. From the small details like, objects to put on shelves to finding an overall color scheme and working in the furniture and rugs style, they were terrific. This started off with a room then another room and soon enough they designed my whole house! What an amazing experience. Amanda and Michele are creative, thoughtful, detailed and warm. They provided detailed plans with measurements and multiple pieces to select from in my price range. They were super accommodating with my crazy ideas and had really cool ways to incorporate them into their designs. They did a great job of communicating shipping delays (covid/supply chain) and in some cases had alternatives vendors. I love my house, it feels like me and not like someone else designed it. Highly recommend!

We embarked on a whole house remodel and needed some guidance on making our very colorful house more 'adult', pulled-together and functional. Amanda was a perfect partner - always there when I needed her yet supportive of letting me run on my own. She helped me with a few key strategic decisions where I had 3 of the 4 parts but couldn't pull it all together on my own. Amanda also hooked us up with the best kitchen designer and we now have the kitchen of our dreams. As a finishing touch, she helped us completely reimagine how our large collection of artwork could be displayed differently and it is so much better. Our friends noticed right away that the art really shines now. I would use Amanda again in a heart beat.

It was great working with DesignFix for our new house. Amanda and Shelly are simply the best! I have interviewed 4 different interior design companies. Amanda and Shelly are the only one who listens to me and understands what I am looking for. With limited budget, some designers either directly said “NO” to me or tried to expand the scope; however, Amanda and Shelly are totally different. They spent time understanding my thoughts and provided recommendations but never forced me to accept. Due to COVID, project went longer than the plan. Amanda and Shelly always kept me updated regarding the status and offered alternatives. Results came out amazing. I received a lot of praise from friends and family. I worked with Shelly & Amanda to recreate a comfortable yet stylish TV room for hanging out with family. It was my second project with them and, once again, they were a complete pleasure to work with! Design and decor is *not* my strength -- nor my interest. And I don't have a lot of time. But I want the finished product. Shelly & Amanda listen to what I'm trying to solve for, work with what I've already got, suggest products to help me build a vision, and generally bring structure to my vague ideas. They're respectful of budgets and able to suggest options at a range of price points. And they help with the details -- painting, framing, and hanging art and curtains. Already thinking about what to work with them on next!

Amanda & Shelly helped us to make our new house into a comfortable and functional home. They developed creative solutions to work with our existing furnishings in a complicated space & suggested beautiful accents to enhance the things we already had. They were very easy to work with -- from scheduling, to purchasing, to project implementation. Will definitely call them again when it's time to redecorate.

I consider myself pretty good with design, but we were stuck for an overall paint scheme for our house with a significant remodel. We sat down with Amanda for an hour and a half, and in that time she listened to our likes, discussed ideas, and helped us design a paint color scheme for our house which we love! We went through several iterations, and she helped us understand which colors go together well and how to adjust our original ideas to better coordinate while still holding to some bold color choices we wanted. She also pointed out some things about the styles we liked (such as the contrast between white cabinets and black drawer pulls) that we hadn't noticed before but can carry forward for other ideas in our house. Amanda was excellent, and we will hopefully hire her team again soon to help us layout out a good flow through our new space and maybe some new furniture.

Both Amanda and Michelle were excellent to work with. They really know their stuff. They knew how to find my style preference when I was unable to do that on my own. I feel like I like everything, but they kept me focused while still keeping me in the decision making process. I consulted with other firms before deciding on DesignFix. They are down to earth and are able to work at whatever level and/or budget you have for max impact. We are thrilled with our updated living space and now I smile every time I come through the door. I plan to use them again for future projects.

We hired Shelly and Amanda to help us furnish our entire home. We had moved from a one bedroom apartment with old IKEA furniture into a 3 bedroom, 1700sf house...and we'd made the move with a 6-month-old baby, during the holidays, and we both work full time. We knew that we wanted to upgrade to adult furnishings that we would love for a long time and get rid of pretty much everything we had from our apartment, but we were completely overwhelmed when it came to making it happen. Shelly and Amanda came and did a walk-through of our house, took measurements, talked to us about our style preferences and how we wanted to use the different spaces in our new place. They then came up with a bunch of ideas for us to react to in terms of aesthetics, colors, styles, etc. We are very decisive people but we're low on spare time, so it was awesome to have a specific list of things to say "yes" and "no" to rather than have to do a bunch of searching for things ourselves. They really listened to what we said and accounted for all of our preferences. Shelly has a knack for finding ways to make spaces more efficient and useful, which I loved. Amanda's eye for color and style is exceptional. There were a few times when I was pretty skeptical about a suggestion but went with it anyway (you can always return stuff) but then I ended up loving it more than anything I would have chosen myself. In the end they did layout, design, furniture, paint color and accessory selection for our nursery, office, living room, family room, master bedroom and office. It was a monster project. It takes a while to get through all of that, but that was mostly because some furniture orders just take a long time and we did it in phases. They were responsive, flexible and helpful throughout. At the end of the project I had Shelly add up the total cost of furnishings plus the cost of their time. After the design discounts they got for us we still came out ahead (i.e. we paid less for their services than we saved in discounts). So it was 100% worth it based on numbers alone. Add in the savings to our sanity and the fabulous end result that we couldn't have envisioned ourselves, and it was 500% worth it. Our home looks beautiful and well put together - we love it and get compliments all the time. Thanks Amanda and Shelly!

I had such a great experience working with Amanda and Shelly to transform the main living area in my condo. Despite having some ideas of what to do, I was overwhelmed at the thought of trying to do it myself and have the end result be something that was I happy with. DesignFix to the rescue. I loved that they came in for an initial consultation and really tried to get to know me and what I like. And the rest of the process went smoothly as we moved through finalizing a floorplan and then picking furniture and other décor for the room. They really listened to my feedback and were open to my suggestions along the way as well. It was a truly collaborative experience all the way through. I am over the moon happy with the end result and even got a little misty eyed at the end of installation just seeing the transformation. What a fabulous experience working with these folks!! Amanda & Shelly helped me create a "reading room" in a somewhat awkwardly shaped space in my house -- and over a year later, I'm *still* talking about how much I love it!! The job involved helping me identify furniture, shelves, lighting, and a rug, and working with my existing items. They listened to what I was trying to accomplish, worked with my budget, and adapted selections and recommendations based on my feedback. They attended to even the smallest details, like getting a prized textile from past travels framed AND hung on my wall (they arranged for a handy man to come do the install, along with hanging photos). They styled the final bits for a polished yet comfortable and cozy finish. Finally, their website made working through options super-easy. I've subsequently both recommended them to friends and have people ask me for the recommendation after seeing the finished project. Thank you!

We had a great experience working with Amanda! She is a very good listener and she “gets” us. I hired her to help us refresh our kitchen. We didn’t know where to start. Amanda first created a color palette that complements the adjoining rooms. Next, she helped us choose counter top and backsplash material. From there, we chose wallpaper, paint and window treatments. Amanda has great relationships with vendors and contractors who are very talented and professional. Everything was completed beautifully. We are so happy and will definitely call on Amanda for our next project.

We are here at our place in Kauai for the first time since the remodel you did, and we are so, so happy with all you’ve done. Wow! It’s just perfect, and it feels like our home now. We are so grateful for what you did and for your skills and talents with design. Another benefit is that our condo rentals have significantly increased since the new photos went on the web site. It only had 2-3 unbooked nights per month between January to April. That’s completely different than pre-remodel, so the changes you’ve made have clearly been appealing to renters as well. The people who’ve stayed in our condo since the remodel have consistently commented on how beautiful it is. Yay!

Amanda is phenomenal. She brought color samples to the first meeting and had a color palette going in an hour. Took us to a floor store and we were on our way selecting flooring with her help. I hired DesignFix to help me with assorted decorating projects around my new home and I was very satisfied with their services. Most decorators want a job minimum, in terms of scale of project or cost. DesignFix was great for my situation because I had a bunch of smaller design concerns that we could handle incrementally.
