DFS Design

Working with DFS was a truly memorable experience. Moving from a house to a decidedly out-of date condominium required a major overhaul. I was really impressed with the amount of time they devoted getting to know my personality, lifestyle and taste. DFS took full accountability for managing the project, did the all running around, brought the samples to me, and delivered a well-run process. Always easily reached when needed them, they communicated well and often. They bring a positive ‘can do’ attitude to all tasks and have the experience and knowledge to overcome any challenges that present during the course of a significant renovation. They work well with trades and know how to navigate the rules of a condo corporation. Throughout the renovation they were cognizant of improvements that would appreciate the value of the property versus those that might not. We tracked to budget throughout the process. Working with the best of what I already had, they brought in new when required and the blend was amazing. They always respected my taste but challenged me when I needed it. The end result was a new space that feels current and not only reflects my taste but my personality. Four years later people still walk into my home and are awestruck. It was a pleasure working with DFS and I was actually sorry when the project came to an end.

DFS Design were responsible from the onset for the complete interior of our new home. They were challenged and surpassed our expectations of creating a "boutique hotel environment but making it feel like a family home". The result is a home that flows from one room to the next. One paint colour was utilized throughout to establish uniformity. Unique furniture pieces were designed by them to encompass the unusual architecture. Exceptional carpets, fabrics, and accessories enriched the atmosphere. They did not hesitate to include previously purchased items - they incorporated it beautifully! We appreciated the fact that they were conscience of a budget and knew when an item was essential but were also willing to source out comparable items when price point did not justify quality or workmanship. Quality and lasting pieces were integral to the design. There was not a single item or decision that we regretted in the end. This is a testament to their extensive knowledge of styles, retailers, and construction - nothing moved forward until it was perfectly analyzed. Ultimately the success of the project is a reflection of their professionalism, and the time and quality that they put into the project - extremely dedicated and accommodating. We did a complete house addition and renovation. Jason and Marc were with us every step of the way. They helped design with a consistent flow which matched our tastes.....from wall colours, kitchen design, furniture, fixtures etc. I loved how they would present options based on our tastes. And 9x out of 10 they could choose for us they got to know us that well. And I also liked how I could be honest if I didn't like something, and they'd easily come back with additional options. We still call upon them for advice. And they always make themselves available. I would very much recommend DFS Design. My house is beautiful and stylish because of them!!

After seeing their work at a friends house, I hired DFS Designs to renovate my condo. I have a small condo but it was a detailed project from floors to ceiling. At our first meeting, they listened and understood my design vision for my home. On the second meeting they delivered a design which was exactly what I was looking for. They provided full service from design to finished product. They work with contractors and suppliers they know, managing the project from beginning to end. They stand behind their design, products and contractors and provide excellent service throughout.

DFS worked with us on both a home staging and a renovation. They were fabulous. They are very knowledgeable, respectful of budget and time and most of all great to work with! They are skilled at professionals and understand how to increase the value of your home economically and efficiently. We love our home and have them to thank for it!

Mark and Jason are extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of every job and we have been working with them 'on and off' (when projects come up) for the past 8 years. They, from day one, have made us feel, regardless of the 'size' of the job, important and worthy that no job is too small. They are able to meet every deadline (if not sooner) and budgets are always on or less than quoted. With owning and running my own business timing was everything and they both took all my 'to do's' away from me and completed the job. We have such trust in them both as professionals and as friends, that we continue to give them full rein on every project.
