This is the first time my husband and I have worked with an interior designer and we had our reservations. We were very impressed with Karolina’s work. Initially we were a little hesitant that she worked heavily with French and European designs but she took our rustic vision and turned it into a reality beyond our dreams. Karolina was very professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process. She made the house building process so much easier with all the decisions on flooring, tile, countertops, colors, etc . We appreciated her honesty, attention to detail and especially her ability to stay within our budget. She told us the cost up front and worked with what we already had. She tailored everything to do what we asked and it looks beautiful. Even contractors commented on how nice it looks. She came to our property twice despite the distance. I am color/design challenged and was intimidated to work with an interior designer but with Karolina I felt like I was shopping with my best friend. She was honest and I felt completely at ease. She explained the reasons behind her logic and to my amazement I’m even able to put together some things that look pretty good on my own now! Thank you Karolina, I don’t know how we would have done it without you.

Karolina worked on our master bathroom project. We hired her for the layout and material selection. She is excellent in space optimization and came up with 3 layout options for our bathroom, some of which we could not even imagine were possible. Having experience working in Europe and the USA, Karolina brought a French flair to the project with use of local materials. We will use our own contractor with whom we have worked several times in the past. We are truly happy with the design and working with Karolina was a breeze. Choose Karolina and Double Dot studio if you want a designer who understands "space" and thinks outside of the box! Through excellent communication and great turnaround time, we are on our way to our own master bath retreat!

It’s difficult to find in Austin a really good designer who will compile and have experience in Europe and USA. Coming from France I was looking for someone who will have a similar vision to mine mixing some antique furniture and modern design without making it look too fake. I was super happy with Double Dot Studio services as they delivered exactly what I expected. They integrated my old furniture into a super modern house, we worked with wallpaper , texture, fabrics. I just shared my pinterest board and explained in a few words what I need and all the rest was super smooth, they really know what they are doing and basically the 1 st proposal was the right one. I am considered as a very difficult or picky person when it comes to design. I think the advantage was the fact they lived and worked in France , bringing that experience made a huge difference for me!

Karolina helped me with the design of our ski apartment in the French Alps. Even though she lives in the USA and spends some time in France and Europe, she helped us with design while on her vacation. Karolina is absolutely passionate about design and space planning, she didn't mind at all working on vacation. And she has a transcontinental knowledge about construction and materials used in different countries. What we liked was her ability to visualize the space even at a distance, only with pictures and explanations ! This is what we came up with. We love it.

I worked 3 times with DoubleDot Studio on big renovation projects. Karolina and Tutty know exactly what they want and what suits and fits different types of designs. They were able to recommend and find right window producers that correspond to the client's style , project and budget. It was a real pleasure to work with them as they are very fast, precise but also very demanding. They expect perfection from any provider they use. I would certainly use them for my own house project and recommend it to other people without hesitation. Their design is very coherent and unique.

I hired DoubleDot studio on my friend's recommendation to completely redo my rental downtown Austin. I wanted something on the budget and looking fabulous. We established a plan and my requirements. They are working differently than other designers. I got 4, 3D layout proposals which helped me tremendously to visualize the space. Once we agreed on my final layout selection they delivered flat floor plans and elevations for my contractor. 3D images help a lot -- do not skip this stage. Once I shared a vision for my house they quickly understood but did not hesitate to tell me what is matching or not. They guided me while clearly explaining what is possible and what is not. I also appreciated their collaboration with my contractor that was quick and efficient. Everything was covered and once there was an issue they worked together to find the best possible solution. While you’re renovating an old house you have many surprises along the way. We completely changed the initial floor plan for the kitchen as we discovered that certain walls can be taken completely and girls were happy to deliver new more optimized options. And, I have plans to consult on additional design/decor options for the house with them.

Karolina worked on my close friend's apartment design. When I saw the result I also asked for her help with my secondary residence. Having European experience as a designer , dealing with reduced spaces she is able to optimize every single corner and space under the roof. I could not believe how much storage she was able to contain in an apartment of 650 sq ft. My summer house was bigger and I wanted to make it look like a very French cottage house. She even brought items she found on “ marche des puces “ in France through her contacts obtaining a unique design with accents I would never have thought about. The whole process and communication was smooth. She responds very quickly to all questions and inquiries but also expects quick decisions while coming with concrete proposals. The project was finished on time and on the budget I planned initially. I think it was the smoothest and easiest project of renovation I have done.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Double Dot Studio. Karolina and Tutty's vision and attention to detail were beyond what I expected! Their eye on identifying, pairing with existing pieces of furniture, and aligning materials is incredible. The redesign of my 1960's built home highlights the unique features of a mid century modern home with today's touch of modern elegance. I contracted Karolina and Tutty to work on the drawings for my project of home addition. They gave me great ideas in their drawing proposal and their building partner, Hector, was always very helpful and proactive to propose cost-efficient solutions. When I decide to move on with this project, I will definitely request DoubleDot and their contractor to manage the home addition works.

Simply the best duo you can find in Austin right now ! These two Women know their job, very complementary (architect and design); they are able to see what we can't and find solutions to suit your needs. They know how to adapt to your budget (provided you are being reasonable :-) Lots of clever ideas I would recommend them for anyone considering redesigning (a room, many rooms, a house....)

I worked with Karolina using her services twice for big renovation projects. She transformed 2 apartments in very poor condition to cute places to rent - they were my 2 investments properties. Everything was designed with a limited budget and came out fantastic. She and her team took care of the project from A to Z from conceptualization, realization, material and furnishing selection to property rental. European spaces are limited and to contain everything within a small surface is a skill. If you need a perfect floor plan they are certainly the best. My goal was to add value to the apartment, rent it for several years and eventually sell it. Excellent service if you want to add value to rental properties and any property, they can do magic with limited budgets. Space optimization is their strongest point
