Emily Andersson Design

Emily is the best! She produced a thorough, well-documented design that gave us a roadmap for our project. She has then helped us with our choices as we've worked with her concept, even going shopping with us. We've relied on her great design sense to assure that we'll get a great-looking, but comfortable and liveable result.

It has been such a pleasurable and satisfactory experience working with Emily. She goes above and beyond in meeting her clients’ design needs and produces awesome results and making sure her clients are completely satisfied. Not only her professionalism and passion for her work makes her a great designer, but also her creativity, honesty, dedication, and sweet personality. My husband and I decided to make major renovations to our house, but we had never worked with a designer before, so we did not know much about the process, and making major renovations could be overwhelming. But, Emily made the process as smooth, organized, and fun as possible. Since we really did not know what style/aesthetic we wanted for our home, Emily listened to our ideas carefully and, along with her ideas, provided us with great design to meet our needs. Our living room and kitchen area were transformed into beautiful, comfortable, and stylish rooms. Just the way we wanted. In addition to the design, Emily effectively handled the purchasing and receiving and storage of all furniture pieces and decor and made sure the whole process went as easy as possible. She was present on the day all of the furniture pieces and decor were delivered to the house and ensured that all the items were intact and placed in the right place. She also ensured the whole project was within the allocated budget and, more importantly, done within the estimated time (5 months). There were no delays or mishaps throughout the entire project. We are vey pleased with the design and with Emily and we could not be happier with our home. Without hesitation, I highly recommend her; she is a great addition to the Chicago South Loop area! Emily's process for design and install is great! We love her designs and working with her in the design stage was very easy because she is extremely responsive and thoughtful and has a tremendous amount of knowledge about design, color, products... The final designs have always been more than we expected! Everyone who sees her work have positive reactions. Her purchasing and installation services make the entire projects worry-free! She is well organized and experienced with dealing with the furniture and accessory vendors as well as the trades needed for delivery and installation! We have worked with a few designers and Emily is by far on top!

Emily was great to work with. She had lots of creative ideas to help me update my living room and found furnishings and fabrics that I loved that also fit my budget. She found me great buys on a new rug and sofa. I loved the sofa but had reservations because it was an online store, but Emily knew of a local showroom where I could go to see their products in person and test them out first, which made all the difference for me. She is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with her on future projects.
