My wife, Laura and I are delighted to share our review of Amanda DiBona and her Interior Design Firm Luxe Studio Design. We started working with Amanda in early February 2022 . We interviewed a few other interior designers and interior decorators before we selected Amanda and her team. One of the first things we learned was the difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator. Huge difference. Interior designers have a much more extensive skill set that includes construction, design, material selection, color, textures, etc. Interior decorators, while quite proficient in their own right, do not have as an extensive skill set. Amanda was very skilled, experienced, and most important to us: patient and collaborative. We quickly established a true partnership with her. Amanda started by taking time to thoughtfully interview us, and hear our thoughts on what we wanted, how much we had budgeted to spend and where we had no idea of what we wanted, only that we did not like some aspects of our house. She listened, asked great, probing questions, and then came back with a “ concept board” of possibilities. Some things we really liked, some things we didn’t and there were some options we had not even considered. Once we decided on the design, materials, colors, etc. She introduced us to her construction crew. We were not required to work with her crew. She was happy to work with a contractor of our choice. We interviewed her construction partner, and a couple of other contractors. Ultimately, we selected her contractor as he clearly understood our needs and even shared a few things his crew would do to make our life comfortable during the construction. For example, we were going to completely renovate our master bathroom, which is on the second floor. To avoid workmen coming back and forth inside the house every day, in side the house, he proposed putting a lift in the backyard, and having his crew use the lift for loading and unloading materials, and sealing off the construction area inside with plastic sheeting, so that all dust and debris would not float into other parts of the house. Great idea. We simply moved into an unused bedroom for the duration of the remodel. Amanda and her contractor partner Bob, were here nearly every day to check in on the progress and quality of fit and finish by the construction crew. Overall, our experience was fantastic. Bob and Amanda checked in with us even when construction was completed and signed off by us, to make sure we were satisfied and everything was to our satisfaction. We could not be happier. We loved our home before the remodel, and now we absolutely LOVE our home. For us, Literally, compared to our master bath, staying at a 4 Seasons Ritz Carlton Hotel is a disappointment. Amanda was an excellent choice for our home remodeling project. She was honest, patient, and had a calm demeanor. She was able to nail our style, better yet, she helped us discover our style. This project could have been very stressful without Amanda's leadership and guidance. She worked directly with the contractor, which allowed for us to sit back and relax. We were first hesitant to hire a designer for our home project, but are very happy we did. It made the entire construction and design process an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Luxe Studio helped us redesign our dated and odd shaped kitchen. They had the vision we were looking for without tearing down walls and worrying about load bearing beams.
