We were starting from scratch and wanted to create a welcoming, kid-friendly, comfortable home. Our style to-date was truly undefined, but we had strong opinions about what we liked or didn't. We were completely impressed by Meriwether's ability to 'see' us and problem-solve as we selected furnishings and colors and lighting. We enjoyed all of our meetings with them. appreciating their attention to detail and organization. The contractors they recommend and work with for electrical, construction and painting are superb. We were thrilled with their attention to our budget as well! The final result, which includes all of parts of the living room, kitchen, sitting room, study, main bedroom, main closet, pantry and basement, is exactly what we wanted. The Meriwether design group led the rebuild of our master bathroom and we could not have been more pleased. Meghan was especially delightful to work with. We had such a great experience working with Kathryn and her team! Kathryn created a beautiful design for our main floor. I guess I've been a traditionalist of sorts trying to hold onto past things that unfortunately did not work in our recent renovation and the ambiance that we created with the help of Meriwether. Meriwether helped take my wife and I into the world of a more current look that still allowed us to keep a little of the old. We love the final product and are continuing to tweak here and there with Meriwether's influence. There are no extremes in her vision of how your home should look and she definitely can get you to that current, more present-day appearance without a wholesale change in your design tastes. We highly recommend Meriwether and have already done so with other friends that needed help with choosing home décor. Meriwether is a great listener and her suggestions for the most part are dead on even when I tended to veer off the path every once in a while Meriwether was terrific in getting me back on track! She is very patient and a great person to have as a home décor partner!

When my wife and I decided to build a house we knew there would be a lot of decisions. Right from the start we had different ideas she wanted a modern design and I like the old world look. We interviewed several designers and decided to go with Meriwether Design Group. I think the statement was made that my wife and I could not be much further apart on what we wanted. Meriwether said she would make it happen and she did, marrying two different styles together and making both of us tremendously happy. There were so many facets of the job that we did not even think about. MDG just took the lead and made decisions easy from the electrical placement to the materials to be used in different elements of the house. MDG took us to some of their other jobs to look at the finished designs and the clients always were smiling and could not say enough good things about MDG work. We always had multiple choices on furnishing, paint and other design elements. My go to was "Which one do you like better Meriwether?" and it was never a choice that I did not love in the end. The end result was a gorgeous house that all my neighbors and friends rave about. We even have other design and real estate friends that say they want to hire MDG. Their work speaks for itself and if I were ever to do a remodel they would be my first and only call.

My husband and I had started down the path of building a new home, and quickly realized we needed help to select finishes and decorate the finished product. We met with a few different companies, and really clicked with Meriwether & Kathryn. Kathryn was the lead for our project and quickly earned our full confidence. She listened to our needs, concerns, style ideas etc and pulled together really fun, creative ideas that captured our style perfectly. Kathryn was with us through the ENTIRE process. She worked with us on all our walk throughs, ensuring we had lights, sconces, light switches and outlets exactly where we needed them. She helped me create my dream kitchen and integrated all the specifs we needed. Kathryn designed 2 gorgeous bedrooms for our daughters, each perfectly fit for their personalities. She made every tweak they requested, and created a designs they hadn't even thought of. Our master bedroom is one of my favorite spaces, its lovely and romantic and everything we asked for. She provided creative suggestions and design risks, and we LOVED every single detail. Kathryn and her team decorated and styled every inch of our new space, it looks 'finished' and ready to be lived in. Our home is truly a reflection of us, and we are so beyond pleased with the finished product.I would recommend her for any project big or small! 5 star service and professionalism all the way. Kathryn was an incredible resource and aide throughout the entire process of building our custom home. From insight on improved flow in the design of the kitchen to the countless ideas, suggestions and direction she provided throughout the building process, I don't know where we would have been without her! We did a complete interior design change of the living level of the house and the master bedroom. Meriwether brought fresh and up to date ideas with new colors and furniture. Meriwether and her team have done both a living room decoration as well as kitchen remodel in my home. I cannot say enough good things about this design group. Meriwether and Kathryn did a fabulous job with my family room. The room had undergone an unfortunate remodel years before which left it with some unsightly architectural flaws that jumped out at me every time I entered the room and made it very difficult to decorate. But Meriwether and Kathryn knew just what to do to overcome the flaws, and when they were finished, all that remained was a wonderful, comfortable room which captured exactly the feel I hoped for and served our family's needs exactly. They were very considerate of my tastes and stayed within my budget while providing wonderful quality pieces. And when there were little glitches, as there will be in a large job, they graciously made certain everything was resolved to my satisfaction. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I definitely recommend them!

Meriwether and Kathryn are a great team. My husband and I couldn't visualize how to remodel our kitchen. Meriwether and Kathryn had so many great ideas. It was also nice to have them help us through the construction - they helped so much with contractors and a few issues we had to work through. Our kitchen turned out fabulous.

It's hard to describe what a pleasure it has been to work with Meriwether and Kathryn over the last 2 1/2 years...but I'll try. Wading through design professionals, figuring out what to do, what to do yourself, or if you want to do anything at all is taxing. It was such a relief to find MDG. Not only are they absolutely fantastic at what they do, they're one of the rare gems of a company that's small, professional and completely committed to a satisfied customer. With our first child on the way, my husband and I bought a large 5 bedroom home after living exclusively overseas for years. We had zero furniture, a modest budget and limited time for shopping. We did have tons of photos and several pieces of art we'd collected on our travels (that were later used as inspiration and accessories). Meriwether was the first and only designer I contacted - sometimes you just know. We came up with a plan of attack and they got to work. They spectacularly designed our living room, breakfast area, kitchen, master bedroom, nursery, complete basement apartment and home office. They revamped and consulted on hard-scaping colors and materials, pieces of furniture, fixtures, and accessories, and a myriad of miscellaneous projects and random questions. They respected our wishes, desires, AND budgets (this is a biggie). Other projects in the pipeline also - a girl's room, guest room, complete master bathroom renovation and dining room. Being in and out of the country (which means crazy timelines), having a modest budget and sometimes being hard to please (*gasp*) is quite a challenge... Yet without fail, the team at MDG has made wonderful things happen and done it all with budget in mind. At this stage, I trust them entirely. They've invested a substantial amount of effort to get to know me and my style (as opposed to trying to imprint me with their style). They know what areas I want to invest money in and where I am happy to save some money. They understand what we ultimately want for our home and our space; some areas of our home are designed and done, some are a work in progress, others are an ongoing evolution as kids grow and usage changes. They get it and help plan for it in the most beautiful, yet functional way possible. I can't imagine what my house would look like with out their touch! Another area they shine in is when things go wrong. It's an inevitability with any big project and hiccups can be costly and time consuming to deal with. Thank goodness I never had to because Meriwether and Kathryn take care of any issues completely. It's definitely an investment to hire a design professional yet having MDG has actually saved us money through the years. We've gotten better deals on quality furniture, avoided costly mistakes and bad purchases, and have been able to focus more of our time on our own business and children rather than fretting on how to design our home (which I'm not good at anyway). And everyday we get to enjoy these lovely spaces in our home. They've won my respect and are completely deserving of all the praise. I look forward to continuing the design journey with Meriwether Design Group. Leave it to the professionals and hire Meriwether today. You won't regret it.

Meriwether is gifted in design and consultation. She respects budgets, listens to clients, and is practical. Returning for a new project, this time my wife asked her to transform our family room, dining room, and my home office. The entire make over was a smooth success. The redesign is gorgeous, and I'm still in awe of how great my home office turned out. Utilizing our existing furnishing, Meriwether re- upholstered the sofa and both chairs. She personalized the room with several pieces of my wife's original art work too! My office is now welcoming, classy, and comfortable. Meriwether McAdams is a great designer! I can't say enough GREAT things about her! She has been my mentor in Interior Design since 1994. She has a truly amazing eye and I am blown away by her creativity!!! On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate Meriwether an 11. It is always a joy to see what she will come up with next. We have worked on many projects together with great results. Though she definitely has a strong sense of her own style she is flexible and can always incorporate the client's taste and bring them to a new higher level. After a great deal of research and interviewing other designers around metro Atlanta, I made the decision to work with Kathryn McAdams of the Meriwether Design Group, which proved to be a decision of no regrets. The project included a complete kitchen gut and redesign, raising the sunken family room, new furniture, lighting and accessories in the kitchen, breakfast room and family room, plus a general refresh of the main level. Being conservative, budget consciousness and one who wouldn’t typically use the service of a professional designer, the decision saved me from making very costly and unsightly mistakes. A project of this magnitude consists of so many unknown details and structural obstacles along the way, Kathryn’s insight was invaluable throughout the process. I could not imagine embarking on this project without her ability to work with contractors and problem solve. Her plans, drawings and selections were well thought out and presented down to the last details. My husband and I were delighted to work with Meriwether on a much needed kitchen/laundry room remodel this past fall. I wanted my kitchen to be more open yet flow nicely with the rest of the house. She had wonderful ideas including putting beams in my kitchen to compliment the family room. My favorite area is the kitchen table with a beautiful rustic chandelier and comfy settee. As an artist I appreciate the spaciousness and neutral colors that allow for colorful artwork as accents. My wife contacted Meriwether after a failed attempt with a previous designer and it has been an enjoyable experience. I have been a client of Meriwether’s for over 6 years. She has designed about 9 different rooms for me. She is very talented, creative and has a great eye for color and the overall balance within a room. She is open to many different styles and will work with you on your style. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied with your project. She is truly a professional and I would recommend her to anyone looking who is looking at adding that “wow factor” to their home! My latest project with Meriwether was a complete structural redesign of my great room including all new furniture. We had to hire a contractor (which she referred to me) to remove paneling that covered ceiling and walls, move the fireplace, install new windows and door, and redesign ceiling including adding beams. After the contractor finished what Meriwether had designed, she brought in the new furniture, rug, window treatments and artwork. It turned out absolutely beautiful. I loved it so much that I decided to have her help me with a quick facelift on my adjacent kitchen. We painted kitchen cabinets, added new countertops and the backsplash is due to be completed within a few weeks. It turned out beautiful and I could not be happier.

I absolutely LOVED everything the Meriwether Design group did in my dining and living room. My experience from start to finish was excellent. Kathryn brightened up the entire space by bringing in some unique artwork and custom drapery. Her eye for accessories made each of the rooms come together and I was happy with everything they brought. Her attention to detail amazes me and their timely turn around was a plus! I will be using the Meriwether Design group again!

Meriwether has been my designer for about 25 years. She has done many, many rooms over that time, including one whole house when we moved eight years ago. Our relationship with Meriwether Design Group began with an updating of the formal living room. The outstanding job of the living room makeover led to a total remodel of the kitchen, family room and downstairs bathroom, Ms. McAdams listened to our color likes and dislikes. She met with both my husband and myself many times to make sure she knew exactly what we liked and wanted. She truly made an effort to listen to us and our desires. She brought out many fabric samples for us to select from along with samples of art. My husband and myself both loved the remake of the living room and knew we could trust Ms. McAdams. In the living room she updated some pieces of furniture with new fabric, added a few new pieces and re-purposed some furniture that was in other rooms in our home. A few months later we asked her to help us with a total remodel of the downstairs. By this time Ms. McAdams knew us and helped us to find a contractor that we would have a great working relationship with. She knew us and the contractor and our contractor was absolutely the Best! The new kitchen, family room and bathroom are amazing! Both the interior decorator and the contractor had terrific ideas. Both of them never tired of our questions. Ms. McAdmas was as close as the phone and was often at our home keeping her eye on the remodel. She held my hand every step of the way and was incredibly patient. I remember the day we selected the granite counter tops. We walked an entire huge warehouse with slabs and slabs of granite. She told me to select my top 5 and then she explained the pros and cons of each style of granite. The moment we made our final decision she was ready with her color fan and was selecting the best colors to coordinate with the rest of the kitchen. My new kitchen is beautiful and yet extremely practical. She went with us to select all of the appliances along with the new sinks for the kitchen and the bathroom, and all of the faucets. She went with us to Home Depot to select doorknobs and ceiling fans. So many details were planned out by Ms. McAdams and I have the perfect kitchen. I can unload 90% of the dishwasher without moving due to the great design. After months of construction all of the carefully planning was coming together. I came home from work to walk into an amazing new home. Ms. McAdams had arranged to have all of the new furniture delivered on the same day and she staged my home and it was and is amazing! All of her careful planning with an eye for details makes our home amazing! I am so blessed to have found Meriwether Design Group. Without any hesitation I have recommended her to friends and family.

My experience with Meriwether design group was amazing and she went beyond meeting my expectations. Our kitchen now is more functional and visually spectacular! Meriwether Design Group was recommended to us by another Midtown law firm that was very satisfied with her work. We hired Meriwether to select furniture and art for our law offices when we relocated to another floor within our 28 story Midtown office building. She had to work within the constraints of somewhat bright existing wall coverings and carpet which could not be altered. The result is professional, attractive and fits the image we want to portray. Many of our clients have commented on the result and have actually engaged her firm. She has been a pleasure to work with and has the ability to satisfy people with varying tastes and opinions. Several attorneys and staff have also hired her for other projects. She kept us apprised of the project status, met an aggressive timetable, came in on budget and was creative in coming up with solutions that met our needs (we needed a way to have refrigerated drinks in a conference room for client meetings and she designed and had a very attractive cabinet-shelving unit made to house a small refrigerator).

We remodeled our family room/ dining porch. Meriwether did an excellent job of listening to us and our goals of remodeling. She went to considerable effort to search for a variety of fabrics that would please us - satisfy our tastes and coordinate them beautifully. We love that the selections in furniture choice were unique and not common. We could not be more pleased with what she did. The furniture is not only attractive, but comfortable and functional.

I love this group! I have used them many times in the past and have always been very satisfied! They bring the choices to me and then listen to my ideas and questions. They take the stress out of all the decisions by explaining the "why"! They are very good with color and updating as well as respecting the budget. They have resources to help solve any decorating challenge. I could not ask for better! They help incorporate the pieces that I love into a new plan. I have worked with Meriwether McAdams of Meriwether Design Group on two occasions and highly recommend her. She is wonderful to work with - very personable, professional, and very knowledgeable! She is great with colors, fabrics, furniture, etc. She decorated my primary home outside of Atlanta and our lake home on Lake Keowee. She guided me in picking out paint colors, granite, hardwood floor stain, tile, carpets, rugs, furniture, accessories, and art work.
