I hired Rommel for a very challenging small space, 1 bedroom condo in an architecturally significant 1960 modernist building in West Hollywood, CA. With Rommel's incredible vision and total project leadership, the unit was gutted and completely re-done. He was able to transform a small space (~470 sq ft) into the most amazing living and working space. Many people have asked to tour the until as they've heard about the amazing design and the optics of how much bigger the space actually appears and feels. Small space design in more than just an 'art' - it also requires very keen technical space planning skills (i.e. if you're off an inch - it's a big deal!). Rommel not only has the vision and the palette of an outstanding interior designer, he also has a deep background in technical space planning - which is a rare combination to find. I'm confident my unit will get published in a national publication one of these days and Rommel will get the broader accolades he so well deserves! I cannot express strongly enough my recommendation for others to give this talented individual a try! Rommel did the interior design work and furnished our 4 bedroom house in Los Angeles. He did a wonderful job and our home turned out amazing. He is very easy to work with, worked well with our general contractor, cost conscious… I highly recommend him.

I move frequently because of my work and I have used Rommel at RO-ID Studio for two rental apartments. He asked the right questions to learn what was most important for me, even if I didn't know at first what that was. The result was the comfort of knowing that he "got" me, and I trusted him implicitly. His solutions reflected my taste and respected my budget, especially in light of the fact that these rentals were not permanent homes. But even this restriction did not mean the apartments couldn't be fabulous. Recently, Rommel hand-stenciled a wall in such a way that transformed the entire room yet made it very easy to paint over at the end of my lease. Very smart! I will continue to trust Rommel with my future projects.
