I purchased a home that needed to be completely renovated and also needed all new furnishings. After reviewing several interior decorators I settled with Suzanne based on the portfolio of her prior projects and feedback provided by previous clients. I could not be happier with the the end result. Suzanne was able to take my vision and make it become a reality. In fact she exceeded what I had hoped was possible. Suzanne was great to work with and very quickly caught on to my individual tastes and did an extraordinary job tailoring the job to fit my expectations while also educating me in the process behind the specific design principles she was applying. Additionally Suzanne helped me identify a general contractor and worked closely with him to make sure the renovations aligned with the design concepts. I can not recommend Suzanne highly enough. If you have the opportunity to work with her I would strongly advise that you do so. You will not be disappointed.

I have worked with several other interior designers but Suzanne was by far the best. She quickly understood my design taste and needs and transformed my master bedroom into a beautiful "sanctuary". She also helped us pick appliances, countertops, and furniture to name a few. She made herself available to help us work through the entire process. My new house was made into a home by Suzanne and the staff from S Interior Design. We did everything from wall colors/treatments, furniture, window treatments, lighting, etc. And Suzanne was enthusiastically involved every step of the way. I interviewed several decorators before deciding to work with Suzanne - and the choice was an easy one to make. We initially spoke over the phone and even then I could tell she was going to be great to work with - she gave me homework before we even met! But that made our first meeting efficient and so valuable. Within less than two hours we had chosen wall colors - something I had struggled with on my own for days. Once I decided to use Suzanne's design services things moved quickly and smoothly. She got a sense of my style and what I was going for in my new home. I was then shown a professional presentation with different layouts, furniture pieces, lighting fixtures, etc. all within the sense of style we had discussed. I told her what I liked, what I didn't like (you don't know what you don't like until someone shows it to you) and we whittled the options down to a cohesive plan. From there it was time to go shopping, so to speak. I didn't want cookie cutter pieces that all of my friends had - I wanted something different and Suzanne delivered! Her contacts with local vendors is a goldmine. She made the process painless. We'd set up a vendor to visit and by the time I showed up for my appointment, Suzanne would have been there for several hours beforehand making sure things were organized, selecting options for me to choose from, etc. She did a lot of the 'busy' work well before I got there so my time wasn't wasted. I didn't feel pressured at all by Suzanne or her vendors to choose things I didn't like or were out of my budget. I was given options, told about the difference in quality of those options and we went from there. Delivery of furniture was also handled by Suzanne and to me that is worth it's weight in gold - I don't have a flexible work schedule so she handled it all - furniture delivery from different vendors, lighting fixtures and wiring - everything!! With Suzanne, I got a home that is cohesively designed with my own stamp on it, with unique pieces of furniture and within a budget I was comfortable with. And best of all, the stress and worry of the project was taken off my shoulders. In a nutshell, Suzanne and the S Interior Design can be summed up in the following words: -fun and easy to work with -dependable, on time and practical -great local vendor contacts and serviceman contacts -absolute pleasure!

My husband and I hired Suzanne at S Interior Design to help us plan all the options for a new build home. Our vision was to create a mid-century modern feel, and Suzanne was able to translate that vision into reality. We were initially overwhelmed by the many decisions to be made, but Suzanne was able to cut right to the heart of the decision making process, recommending colors, textures and shapes to ensure our home designed looked and felt intentional. We're thrilled with the end result. We hired S Interior Design (Suzanne Lasky) to remodel our master bath. We decided to use a designer because we were uncertain of our abilities to select the right colors, materials and lighting that would work well together. Suzanne did what we needed in that area and saved us a lot of time and effort on something that wouldn't look right. She was highly rated and had done a number of projects in our area. We wanted to remove the step-ups and step-downs in the bathroom as well as updating the dated fixtures and appearance of the room. In addition, we wanted to make the bathroom ADA compliant both for our future needs and for its resale value. From the beginning, Suzanne was able to bring an understanding of our requirements and an artistic design to our basic concepts. She also introduced us to an excellent contractor with whom she had previously worked and was known for the quality of her work and a strict timetable for completion. Suzanne accompanied us to the showrooms for fixtures and tiles and offered selections that would complement the design. Suzanne continually checked in on the progress of the work to insure the schedule was being met and the details conformed to the design. The result was a showroom quality master bath with a completely functional layout. We are very pleased with the result and would recommend Suzanne for any design and remodeling projects. AJ Germek

We highly recommend Suzanne as an interior designer. She is professional, skilled,an excellent communicator, and she will quickly understand your vision, style, and budget. My husband and I hired Suzanne to help us remodel our kitchen, something we've wanted to do for years. She gave us a questionnaire to fill out and asked that we make a file of kitchen designs and styles that we liked on the Houzz website. She then did her homework and designed the kitchen of our dreams. Suzanne completely understood our style and, knowing that I tend to get overwhelmed with an abundance of choices, was able to narrow our selections (cabinets, countertops, backsplash tile, and flooring) to a minimum. She made our field trips to pick out hardware, lighting, chairs, and barstools a breeze. Her explanations of design made us feel confident in our choices and we could not be happier with the results. I moved to Scottsdale last fall and quickly realized that my rag-tag furniture from previous moves just did not fit my newly remodeled two-bedroom, two-bath house. I wanted to come home to a space that felt fun and put-together but didn't have the vocabulary or skills to get this done. I've never used a designer before but was intrigued with the idea and started hunting through Houzz for room and designer ideas. I contacted Suzanne and we got to work with ideas for my open-space, living/dining/entryway. Suzanne did a really phenomenal job honing down on my tastes and color preferences and used her great eye to put together fabrics choices, wall color, and furniture choices that fit the space well. She even designed my rug, which pulled together the whole room. In addition, we used my existing art to anchor different parts of the space. I was consistently impressed with Suzanne's connections to find custom furniture and interesting lighting and appreciated her knowledge of the catalog furniture stores too. I absolutely recommend Suzanne and hope to work with her again when I tackle my bedrooms.

Suzanne is a great designer, unfortunately, I had a bad experience with her and ended up having to end our relationship before the remodel project was complete. I was so hopeful about hiring a designer to turn our home into something beautiful for our family but now, I'm left with a project that I'm not sure how or when I'll be able to complete. Suzanne worked with us early on and had us fill out the questionnaire, met with us at the house and walked through what we wanted to change. This was my husband's home before we got married and while it's a beautiful home, it wasn't my style or taste, nor did it have a warm, family feel. During the initial meeting, we determined we'd repaint the interior, repaint & lighten the kitchen cabinets, install tile backsplash in the kitchen, install tile around the fireplace (we knew this needed done but hadn't made a decision on it previously), sell the pool table that was in the dining room (he finally agreed to it!), buy new living room furniture, add a gallery wall on the staircase, add canvas pictures in the family room, replace several light fixtures, repaint the nursery, redo the main floor bathroom, add a runner on our tile stairs, have built in cabinets added upstairs for storage and have a fireplace built in custom made. We committed to spend quite a bit of money and moved quickly to get things done. We had a huge list of things to do. Within 30 days, the project was moving and mid-way through. There were some bumps along the way - but that's expected. The custom cabinet installer mis-measured the fireplace width so the TV cabinet and mantle were 12" too short (he fixed it), the tile guy mis-estimated the amount of tile he'd need for the fireplace (a mistake that cost me over $500 to fix and complete the job!). I was amazed that I didn't hear anything from Suzanne as these issues were happening. I'd used her recommended contractors and she was on the emails about the problems and issues but she never reached out to see if things were OK, which bothered me a lot. I work in an ad agency and when there are issues for my clients, I am on the phone with them, making sure things are OK and making sure they know I'm there for them. There was none of this from her during the situation. She called to follow up about it weeks after the fact. She fixated on one part of the project, that I couldn't get done at the moment and wouldn't let up about it. I ended up feeling like she was treating me like an idiot, someone who didn't understand the importance of ensuring my family was safe.... yet, this was something I'd told her about initially and explained why it was important to be corrected. I'd send her a status update for the project (I thought she'd handle this part but I guess not) and she'd zero in on this one piece of it and actually responded to the email to basically say, none of what I was doing was important - I shouldn't focus on any of that until X project was done. I spoke with her on the phone shortly after and ended up even more frustrated, she actually told me that she'd send flowers when someone got hurt and ended up in the hospital because of this issue. How in the world is that an appropriate comment to make to a homeowner? That's when I lost it and told her I never wanted to hear another word about that particular part of the project. She'd made comments about the baby and I getting hurt, someone ending up in the hospital, she was relentless about this particular piece and my hands were tied. I knew it was important but my husband was against the recommended change. I didn't need to be berated repeatedly about something that I told her was an issue in the first place. She said it came from the heart, wanting to help, but it caused me so much extra stress. It was horrible. I'm so disappointed by my overall experience with her. I went from being so excited and hopeful that I'd finally found someone who could help me turn my house into a home for my family (since my husband loves this place and doesn't want to sell) but in the end, here I sit with a project that's half finished and no clue where I'm going to come up with the time to complete it. I ended up ending the relationship and asking for the last bit of my retainer back when I'd tried unsuccessfully to re-engage her in the project for two months and ended up nowhere (but had somehow used two hours from my retainer). I believe she's a talented designer with a good eye but she treated me like I was a child or stupid on numerous occasions. She made really unprofessional, hurtful comments that were uncalled for and in the end, wasn't reliable to the point I gave up and ended it. I work full time and have a 10 month old, this is not the situation I wanted to be in. Ever.

My husband and I purchased a second home in Paradise Valley about a year ago. We furnished it with the basics so the house was functional but by no means finished. Since I was commuting to Arizona, finding the time to complete the interior was difficult and frustrating. I decided to get some help from a local interior designer. I found S Interior Design on houzz and after intense research decided to engage her services. Suzanne spent time getting to know our style preferences, specific needs (had to look good but also be low maintenance and durable), timeline and budget. I was very impressed that her project estimate was accurate; the project was finished on time and did not go over the hours estimated. I also appreciated her ability to work with what was already in the house and how she embraced the different needs, and budgets, of different spaces. For some rooms, we chose inexpensive stock items while for others we decided to go a more custom route. Suzanne is very well connected in the area and has good contacts and sources for all of the items we needed, including contractors for installation and maintenance. She selected area rugs for many spaces in the house, chose updated lighting and ceiling fans, new wall colors, furniture for guest bedrooms and custom designed an upholstered headboard, bench and window treatment for our master bedroom. The accessories and artwork she found, and in some cases custom designed, compliment the spaces perfectly. I am so glad that I chose S Interior Design and am very pleased with her work. We are planning to do some remodeling to the house in the future and will definitely hire S Interior Design to help us.

We hired Suzanne to assist us with the layout and selection of furniture for our newly remodeled second home in Scottsdale. Since we were flying in for short periods of time, we did not have the time to shop around and buy furniture. We discussed with her our style preference and showed her pictures of our primary residence and let her go to work. She did a phenomenal job of selecting furniture options for us to look at and decide what we liked. We were able to purchase enough furniture to make the house livable while we waited for the special order items. She has a number of contacts so was able to refer us to a local lighting store, carpet store and custom furniture manufacturer that offered great personal service. She picked out the perfect accessories and brought them to the house and arranged them so when we arrived the next time it felt so homey. The window treatments she assisted us with selecting turned out absolutely beautiful. Suzanne is a professional and worked well with our contractor keeping an eye on the progress and offering suggestions. We could not have done it without her. Suzanne worked with my wife and me to furnish our new condo in Phoenix. It was a very challenging job since we were living in Pakistan at the time and did not have the luxury of daily interaction. We did all of the design work with her over a few days in July, 2014 and did not see her again until we moved into the condo on January 13, 2015. But everything was perfect! Furniture and accents were outstanding (all furniture was in place by January 3, 2015; accents and window treatments were completed in April 2015). We found S Interiors by google search in February 2015. After being impressed with her business and decorating background, we hired Suzanne to help us update our vacation home. We wanted a beautiful and fresh place we could come to with friends and family to unwind and relax. We had worked with designers in the past and found Suzanne to be highly professional and at the same time able to connect with us on a personal level. Suzanne's background with business really worked for us as she took on managing the project. She helped us to bring together the colors and textures to produce the home we were looking for. I cannot convey how daunting it is to look for companies and people to do your work when you are not even in the country. Suzanne connected us with trades people when we did not know where to go and, she worked with the trades people we did have, all of whom produced top quality work under her watchful eye. Suzanne never overwhelmed us with decisions or choices we had to make. We agreed on a budget, asked for three options that would work and, made our choices from there. We are happy to say Suzanne stayed within budget, picked up on our tastes and provided only three options for all of the decisions we had to make. She educated us on advantage/ disadvantages; color do's / don'ts; decorating guidelines and many of the bits of knowledge that helped us to end up with a little bit of heaven in Scottsdale. Suzanne kept us and all the trades apprised of timelines, upsets, and resolves. Here is the best part; Suzanne had organized all the work so when we arrived again at the end of March, we walked into a home that was completely repainted, had new carpet and laminate floors, new window coverings, updated light fixtures and hardware. Suzanne is the heart of the company achieving all we wanted in this experience. She was always calm, resourceful, met all deadlines and even stayed within budget. I think communication was key and Suzanne nailed it. We have already referred S Interiors to some of our friends and will continue to do so to anyone looking for a multi-talented, resourceful and honest company.

We asked Suzanne to come with a completely new design for our den. We especially wanted to replace the couch, the carpeting and the lighting in the room. We also wanted to have more handy storage in this small 10' x 12' room. By the time we had finished combining her ideas with our tastes in design, we had a completely renovated room. All of this with an eye on our budget. We ended up replacing the couch with chairs, the carpet with wood flooring and a rug, and lighting with a LED fan light and a floor lamp. She came up with a custom enclosed wall cabinet above the new computer desk and another one on the wall between the room entry doorway and a closet doorway. The hanging cabinets make the room feel more open. The cushioned chairs and unique table she found finished the room perfectly. We are using the room every day and enjoying it immensely. We never could have done this makeover on our own and we are glad we didn't try!

We just moved to Phoenix and I was overwhelmed with the thought of updating our house. Suzanne "got us" and did a great job of narrowing down choices, while still giving us option. I called Suzanne Lasky at S Interior Design because although I felt like I had a good foundation going, I just couldn't get my Great Room and Dining Room finished off. Suzanne definitely brought the frosting to the cake. Before she came, she had me complete a questionnaire and send her a link to my Houzz album so she already had a sense of my style and where I was going, so our first meeting was not spent on a lot of preliminary "getting to know you"---we got right down to it! First of all, she is a lovely, down-to-earth person---a pleasure to work with. Secondly, she GOT what I was wanting for our home and really ran with it, offering ideas and refining my plans so things started falling into a cohesive whole. She was so enthusiastic and filled with creative thoughts she totally re-energized me! And she understood that I am all about unexpected bargain finds (I don't want the commitment of expensive furniture and accessories---what if I want to go in a totally different direction in a year?) and she was NOT snooty or condescending that some of my favorite finds are from Ikea. In fact, she made suggestions of other great "bargain-hunting" spots for art and rugs. This is not to say she doesn't do high-end---you should see the portfolio of homes she has worked with and she had a great article in Phoenix magazine (how I found her). But she's flexible and all about what the client wants. I loved how she played and elaborated with my needs and ideas, so I feel like that even with her assistance, it's still all my house and the design is me. And finally, she is totally pet-friendly, so not only did provide a lot of helpful critiques and ideas on design, she also gave me some great tips on training our new puppy---who danced around her feet nearly the whole visit. I can't wait to have Suzanne back out to see what I have accomplished based on her advice and keep moving forward. After two years, this project is going to get done!

We've lived in our central Phoenix home for 21 years, a small ranch with limited storage and closets. Remodeled the common areas ten years ago into a contemporary space with lots of art. We love it, but the master bedroom never was re-done and was tired and cramped. I travel a lot, and when my hotel rooms were nicer than my own bedroom, I knew we needed a change. I had no good ideas for this small but important space that needed a refresh but would accommodate me, hubby and 4 dogs. S Interiors was my first experience with a design firm. They came in with a creative idea, fresh eyes, storage solutions, colors I never would have picked, and made me see a room that didn't exist yet. The design included new accent colors, built-in wardrobes, and bench seating with built-in dog beds! I was nervous, but they were reassuring, and they were lovely when dealing with my crazy schedule. She took time in the beginning, asked lots of questions, and determined the level of involvement I wanted. I initially engaged Suzanne based on her reviews and info from Houzz, followed by an in person meeting. We had a unique situation in that we were working on a home that we had never lived in, which was rented out, complicated by the fact that we live 10,000 miles away! I asked her to go into the house, develop a master plan, including reno work and furniture placement. The only hard info she had to work with were photos and dimensions of furniture we owned (10,000 miles away) and photos from my Houzz idea books. I have to say that we received exactly what we asked for! We are now in the house, still minus most of our things, but able to plan and execute her master plan using her recommendations for materials, as we slowly move back to the US. everything was done In timely fashion, with consideration given to our budget. I am not sure this review will come close to describing how wonderful my experience with Suzanne was. We worked with her on a complete renovation of our penthouse condo and it turned out better than we could have imagined. Prior to hiring Suzanne we worked with a very large and reputable design company in AZ, but ended up having a terrible experience. We then spent a very brief time attempting to work with another designer that was highly disorganized and missed several meetings and deadlines. After both experiences we debated managing the job ourselves or giving up completely. Luckily we gave one more designer (Suzanne) a try and have had no regrets. She is one of the most organized people I've ever met and has an incredible attention to detail. Suzanne was always on time to every meeting (actually always early) and spent as much time as I needed until every question was answered and every item was addressed. She laid out everything up front, from "to do's," to costs/fees, to a timeline and more. During the messy part of our project she was constantly at our unit checking with the workers and making sure everything was done correctly. She also did a great job finding a fantastic contractor (Carlson Homes) who helped make sure our job was done as expected. Although we did not have a set budget, Suzanne did a great job of keeping the job within an amount we were comfortable spending and did not "run wild," spending as much as she could, just because. She knew where to spend and where to save. After having some negative experiences and seeing the bad side of designers, we feel so lucky to have found Suzanne and will 100% use her on our next home. She does a great job adapting to her client's tastes/styles and takes the time to really get to know them. Without her, we never would have survived this renovation and there is no way our home would have turned out as beautiful as it is.

This was my third experience using Suzanne at S Interior Design. I called on Suzanne's expertise to assist me in a complete makeover of my master bedroom. I knew Suzanne had the skills and confidence to create the specific mood and look in what I could only visualize. Our initial meeting outlined the goals and visions of the room, the budget we had allotted for the entire project, and a detailed estimated date of completion. Suzanne has an amazing ability to bring colors, textures, fabrics, furniture, art work, and accessories all together in a room with the end results reflecting my own tastes and personality. Our first goal was to change the basic foundation of the room: paint and carpeting. Picking complementary paint colors and carpeting can be time consuming, overwhelming , and costly if it's not the right tone, but with Suzanne's guidance, those decisions were made within an hour and they look spectacular. Scaling size of furniture & accessories can also be costly if you don't have the eye of a designer like Suzanne. My favorite purchases are items I would never have the courage to buy because I did not have the ability to visualize how it would look in my room. Suzanne stays in constant touch with the client through in-person meetings, email, texts, and phone calls. She doesn't make any decisions without checking with the client first. Suzanne is always available, consistently on time, and courteous and respectful to everyone. She is excellent with helping you make decisions when you feel torn between options and I appreciate her good nature and positive attitude when I was found myself changing my mind over a decision I had already made. Suzanne's professional services, along with her honest and direct approach are well worth the investment. My bedroom is absolutely gorgeous!

I had a brand new home, with nothing in it. The walls were stock white, and a didn't have a single piece of furniture. I had a week left till my housewarming party and I had no idea how the place could possibly be ready in time... until I met Suzanne. She came, and she managed to pull ideas out of me that I didn't know existed. I had struggled for months to come up with a color scheme to no avail. Yet after a couple hours with Suzanne, I knew exactly how I wanted it to look like. I actually had a vision of my new home, thanks to her. She worked with me throughout that week, even going to the lengths of getting stuff herself -- from tables to art -- based on what she thought that I would like. She called into her network of professional contacts and got my living areas painted within three days. It was simply awe-inspiring to watch my house transform into the home I didn't know I wanted till I met Suzanne. Amazingly, she managed to finish right on time, and my home was painted and filled with furniture, just in time for the housewarming party. I couldn't be more satisfied, and I most certainly couldn't have done it without Suzanne. I heartily recommend Suzanne to anyone looking for a quality interior designer!
