Stefani Stein is a Los Angeles-based interior designer whose eponymously named firm was established in late 2014, offering full-service interior architecture and design with an emphasis on a relaxed and refined aesthetic. The firm's approach to design embraces the idea that each client and space are unique, regardless of the project size or scale. Stein believes that inspiring spaces evolve through client collaboration with a keen attention to the architecture and bones of each project. Dedicated to creating truly one-of-a-kind spaces, Stein works closely with specialized craftspeople and artisans who play an integral role in the design process and execution, steering the narrative flawlessly from conception to completion. Clean, modern touches intertwine with both classical and unexpected elements throughout her commercial and residential spaces. Most recently, Stein launched luxury wallpaper brand, August Abode -- a collection that speaks volumes to her signature style and celebrates her love of travel and the relaxed California lifestyle.

Stefanie is not only a phenomenal designer who excels at combining her own style with those of the client in a seamless manner, but an exacting task master who goes above and beyond to ensure that the project is done to both her and the client's standards. She is meticulous, patient, and a true joy to work with. Determined the project was to be done properly despite the construction company's incompetence, Stefanie invested a gargantuan amount of time, pouring many days into the project for us, following the company every step of the way to ensure that everything was done perfectly. She has made herself available on weeknights and weekends both, and was always prompt to answer questions, assuage our worries, and fix any problems that might have arisen. Were it not for Stefanie, there is no doubt the project would have been a mess and there would have been many more headaches. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone and anybody who might have any designing needs. Please look no further, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Stefani. We were looking to remodel two bathrooms, and convert our garage into an office, and we were / are both novices when it comes to renovations. Stefani had terrific design instincts, recommended a great contractor and crew, and helped manage every aspect of the job. We are very happy with the work, and it was completed (relatively) quickly.

Stefani has been a pleasure to work with! I have been working with Stefani on the interior design of my house, which started with a mattress on the floor. She has brought our vision to life, by making sure to keep the design young and fresh in an older home. She worked with us on the phased approach we wanted to take and was very conscious of our budget, doing a great job of mixing higher end pieces with lower end. Stefani is reliable, knowledgeable, and has a great eye for design!

Stefani was wonderful to work with and created an amazing kitchen that my husband and I both absolutely love! About a year ago my husband and I remodeled our home and hired Stefani to design our open space kitchen/living room layout. My husband and I both have such different tastes that we thought it would be impossible for someone to design a space for us that we both love. Stefani created such a beautiful kitchen and living room for us that we both are crazy about and we get so many compliments on. Additionally, Stefani is great about helping you figure out how to work within your budget and provide alternatives to costly options. One of the things we loved about working with Stefani is that she never pushed her opinions on us if we didn't like an initial recommendation. Additionally, she was extremely organized and very fair with her billable hours. We intend to hire her again to help us with the rest of the house once we have the budget for it and we always recommend her to our friends!

Stefani has an amazing ability to incorporate her impeccable eye for design with function and usability. I came to her with a "laundry list" (literally) of ideas for our new laundry room, and she delivered on every single item. From random spaces like for kitty litter boxes and pull-out pet food drawers to a wall-mounted drying rack and individual laundry baskets - they were all incorporated beautifully with custom-built cabinetry. My laundry room used to be an eyesore, barely functional and now it is the most loved room in the house. Stefani is incredibly professional, always getting back to me within hours of my many random questions. She has a good knowledge of how things "should work" and is not afraid to step in when something isn't completed to her satisfaction. She was also very accommodating and worked extremely hard to find the right contractor to take on our job. It was considered a "small job" and it took a lot of work to find someone who would even consider it. I would absolutely use Stefani again, in fact trying to figure out which room is next on our list!
