About Us

yZiGN is the Boutique Interior Design Studio specialized in creating signature interior designs. We serve those who want something OTHER than what is available everywhere. yZiGN is the sum of heartfelt design and forward business, Iwona Petrov + Alex Petrov. Together they helm a versatile high-end interior design firm. Their meeting sparked one of a kind endearing journey. Having independently relocated to the US from Europe, the two found each other in 2006 to form their namesake design brand in 2010. The yZiGN aesthetic is rooted in a broad spectrum of experiences and elevated by a spirit of inclusion and warmth, that’s informed yet approachable. The two pride themselves, not on being the writers of the story, but rather, the editors – with each space defined by its owners’ individual perspective, manifesting in pared-down, imaginative environments that are thoughtful, personal, and quietly clever.

yZign focused in on exactly our area of concern - the exterior of our home - which saved us money and made an immediate impact on our project. This was our first time using a professional designer, and we were able to make a significant improvement in our project because of their advice. Photos to come when it is complete! We plan to use them as we move toward the many interior projects we will be having.

I hired yZiGN (Iwona and Alex) to help me with a family room that was dark, depressing and a dumping ground of mismatched furniture. They transformed it into a beautiful space that is just to my liking and style. Iwona is fabulous and will give you the style and pieces that you want within your budget. Also, Iwona and Alex are super responsive, positive and just the best people to work with you and your home. I've now just completed my second project with yZiGN (living room and dining room makeover) and could not be more thrilled. I cannot say enough wonderful things!

I met Iwona through a friend who has used her talents on many occasions. I recently moved and was having trouble deciding what to do with my mantel/fireplace area. Iwona was incredible. She not only looked at the fireplace but the whole area and gave me some great ideas that were simple and easy and have transformed not only the fireplace but the whole room. I never would have thought to pain the mantel and was a tad skeptical but as i have learned, you should just listen to Iwona and do what she says because she has an incredible eye. I couldn't be more happy with the space and am now thinking of where to use her expertise next. Thank you!

Iwona listened carefully to the needs of my family. I have pets and messy children :-). She was able to incorporate very durable beautiful fabrics into the design. My house is now not only beautiful, but functional as well. She was also able to utilize areas in our home that previously had no function. In addition, she was also able to incorporate pieces of furniture I previously owned into the new design. They blended seamlessly with the new pieces. I am so happy with how my house looks now, in the beginning before I hired Iwona I hated my house and frankly wanted to move. Now, I can't stop smiling. Hiring her was such a good decision, she was able to satisfy both myself and my husband's taste.
