Alice Sin did a fantastic job designing and managing our kitchen remodel. She is a professional of the highest regard for her vision and understanding of design and construction. Alice was right with the construction team guiding them through the project from start to finish. She continues to offer us design assistance even at the end of the project. Alice was truly committed to making our remodel her top priority.

In August 2016, my husband and I moved into a 1925 craftsman style home in Altadena. It quickly became clear to us that our kitchen/family room needed remodeling. I came across Alice's name on the Houzz website, and liked the examples of her work. A meeting with Alice confirmed what was to become a very collegial relationship. Everyone associated with our remodel was wonderful to work with, and we feel very fortunate to have met Alice.

Working with Alice Sin wass a pleasure and a fun experience. Our project is the Pasadena Mid-Century, which won Alice third place in the Silestone design competition in 2013. Alice has great ideas, is very detail-oriented, and most importantly, pays attention to clients’ wishes. We highly recommend Alice to anyone who is looking for a creative and forward-thinking designer who is personable and easy to work with. The areas of our house in which Alice did her magic were the kitchen/family room, powder room, bathroom, outdoor kitchen and teahouse/gazebo.

My experience with Alice Sin turned out to be perfect for me. I utilized Alice's expertise for a full kitchen remodel. What I found most helpful was within a couple of meetings she knew my taste and guided me to materials and choices that incorporated my likes. Alice did a wonderful job designing our kitchen to meet the needs that we had expressed. She was patient with us and offered suggestions and options to help ensure that the outcome of the kitchen would meet or exceed the expectations she set for us - whether our questions were about cabinet placement or countertop selections. Her renditions were wonderful and easy for the cabinet builders and installers to work with. I highly recommend Alice for kitchen design.

We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Alice on our kitchen remodel and bathroom addition. She is thoroughly knowledgeable, a wonderful draftsperson and fantastic designer -- but what we appreciated most of all was her partnership with us. We knew we wanted a great kitchen, but we didn't know what we meant by that. Through many enjoyable discussions, Alice helped us define what we were looking for and then presented ideas and solutions. When we had a definite preference, she didn't try to change our minds but worked with us in making it a success. When we would change our minds, she went with the flow and changed with us. When we would think about eliminating features we really wanted to save a few bucks, she helped us see things from a long-term perspective -- and we're glad she did. The result is a kitchen that is a delight to work and live in -- and that gets consistent praise from visitors. The new bathroom is icing on the cake. Nine years after our remodel, we still place Alice's business cards in our kitchen when we host our big annual open house -- and invite her to the party.
