We loved working with Erin on our kitchen reno. We wanted to make some updates, but did not want to change our cabinets or paint them, and had a hard time finding a designer interested in the project. Erin helped us pick out gorgeous materials, rework some of the existing awkward layout to add functionality, and designed a gorgeous island and dining room built in. Erin is very hands on, available, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We highly recommend her and her contractor for your kitchen project.

Hired EKAD for full redesign of a kitchen and dining room, that included removal of a wall and movement of plumbing and appliance locations. Erin came up with an innovative design and worked within our budget to give us a concept of our dreams. As with any major project minor issues arose, but Erin worked its us on fixing them, even providing discounted or at cost prices to remedy those issues. Highly recommended.

We are looking for a small company that doesn't mind working with a small budget (most companies tend to pass on townhouse reno projects due to lower profit margin). We are so glad to have found EKAD Studio on Houzz for our kitchen. Erin did a fantastic job turning our kitchen into a much more functional space by simply changing the layout. The design process itself took about two months. When Erin showed us the new layout on her computer, we were beyond excited. Having lived here for 10+ years, we always thought we have a small kitchen, we are proven wrong. The new kitchen layout is great for entertaining. We already had a few parties, and our friends are amazed at how much more open space there is. On top of that, we have a significant increase in storage space by having floor to ceiling cabinets. From a finishing design perspective, let's just say we have pretty strong opinions . Erin is very patience in figuring out and accommodating to our styles. Erin connects us with a great general contractor (Renovo Group) to execute on the remodeling project. She came by often to make sure our general contractor knew what needed to be done. We went slightly over budget due to unexpected leak behind wall and our selections on higher end finishes (we're here to stay!). Overall, we are extremely happy with the end result and had a great experience working with Erin. We would use her again for other projects in our house.

We searched Houzz for a design professional and Erin was the most prompt and helpful in helping us determine our needs. We were only seeking design advice and not expecting any installation or other project services. Erin was fantastic and was a huge help with getting us to a coherent vision for our kitchen. She was able to provide expertise and experience related to the many questions we had related to our kitchen redesign and we are back to being excited about the kitchen rather than option overload. Reasonable rate and may be best money I have spent so far for the kitchen.

Erin helped me coordinate floor, new cabinets, counter, and paint color. She was present all along the way from installation to making sure the shelves were right and soft closes were all correctly set. She was patient as I stepped out of my comfort zone and thought about new things, showed me space saving ideas, and worked with my needs. All the pieces came together at the appointed time.

I saw Erin’s work in a friends home and was impressed. We hired her for our kitchen renovation. She came in and gave us great ideas, which we used nearly all.
