Melina is "The Master"! I would highly recommend her for all your projects large or small! She helped me choose paint colors to transform my house into a warm, calm and welcoming home! I was nervous as these were colors I never would have chose, like never. I started in the kitchen, with the color she suggested and LOVED it! It looks amazing! After waffling for a week, as I was afraid of these colors I decided to go forward with the colors she chose through the dinning room, living and bathroom. Love all of it! The other great thing I really appreciate about Melina is the lines of communication were open; she was easy to get a hold of and responded to all of my questions and concerns in a timely manor. I have worked on multiple projects with Melina, her ability to transform space is unlike anyone I've ever worked with. She has the unique skill to adapt to your personal style and achieve the look you dreamed of beyond what you envisioned. I only showed her a few examples of the look I wanted to achieve and she nails it. Her use of texture and color is like artwork. The sources she uses for her product and design (tile, wallpaper, fabrics, hardware, lighting and etc.) are individual, special and unlike anything else you see in any residential or commercial applications. When we are working on a project I can't wait to stop by her show room and see what ideas and products she has waiting! Melina handles this process on my behalf so I get to have all the fun and non of the stress.

I worked with Trappings on my home in Missoula, MT. I wanted to do a small backsplash in my kitchen and had a relatively small budget. What they were able to do changed the whole feel of room and transformed the entire home. I was so impressed, I asked them to come and help me with fixtures for a home I was building on the east coast. I was limited to the builders offerings but Melina from Trappings worked magic with putting the house together. The national builder actually asked my permission to come and take photos of the completed house because they had done such an amazing job. Highly recommend!

Melina, owner of Trappings Studio, designed, ordered, selected excellent professional subcontractors and supervised the remodeling of my living room and bar area. Our home was built in 1972 and we wanted an updated modernized look. She designed a wall that went over an existing travertine wall that was really outdated. Using sheet rock, a set in area for an expensive painting, tile fireplace covering and glass shelving the living room was transformed into a WOW redo. We selected Walker Zenger tile for our bar area, with a beautiful retrofitted black granite slab, updated sink and new cabinets. A couple years later Melina helped in remodeling our laundry room and selected wall paper for a half bath. She is great with deadlines, budgets and working well with the subcontractors. I highly recommend her as a designer and professional.

I've worked with Melina both personally and professionally. As an architect myself, I'm fairly picky on product quality and look, as well as getting solid information from a rep. Melina provides this, along with excellent taste and a vision for the overall aesthetic. When the price of a product is higher than I'd like (because it's gorgeous!), she offers great alternatives. She follows through and is fun to work with. And let's not forget Banksy, the shop mascot.

I have worked with Melina on several projects. Without fail, she produces unique designs and beautiful results. Our projects were both extensive remodels. Throughout both projects Melina was able to efficiently navigate the unexpected problems inherent in remodels. The results are absolutely beautiful - far beyond our expectations. In addition, Melina designed 2 custom furniture pieces - a built in kitchen bench and freestanding table. In addition to the unique plans, she used unexpected materials to create one of a kind pieces. From the overall concepts to the fine finish details, we love everything.
