The Tree Guy

My kids gave me that name over 15 years ago while explaining to their classmates why they were dropped off at school in a log truck and why their dad climbed trees all day. The best compliment I could ever hope for is the pride in their voice when they say, “Yeah, my dad is the tree guy.” That pride doesn’t come from big, flashy equipment or a huge fleet of trucks. It’s because they’ve seen me remove trees that no one else could while treating my customers the way a family business should. Over the past 15 years, I've worked to purchase used equipment. I've built my business the way people used to working hard to earn enough that I could buy the next item outright. I chip as much of the tree as I can creating mulch. This is both better for the environment and less expensive to dispose of. I have a large A-frame winch truck to hall away large logs. If possible, I send these to become furniture or veneer. The limb wood and logs that can't be used elsewhere become firewood. I won’t claim to beat every other tree company’s prices because my rates are determined by what the job will cost me to complete in a timely, professional manner. I discovered as a teenager that I had a talent for cutting trees, and I’ve spent the past thirty years learning from the best around to improve my skills. Other tree companies often call me to help them out when they have an unusually difficult job.
