Adam Anderson of Decorators Service Co. had been recommended to us by our designer back in 2021, for assistance in installing wallpaper in our new home in Excelsior, MN. He did a wonderful job, measuring and letting me know how much paper to order, and installing three different papers in three different rooms. When one of them turned out to be a bad choice (thanks to me being halfway across the country during Covid so I couldn't be on-site to see the completed space before the paper was installed, or the paper as it was going up), he came up w/a solution that's worked well for the last four years. But it was time to revisit the idea of wallpaper in our back kitchen this year, and after looking at what seemed like millions of possibilities online, I made what I was hoping would be a much better choice this time! We were working with a wonderful Swedish wallpaper company, and the way they need you to measure is different that what we'd done before - Adam was very patient with me to make sure I ordered the paper correctly (very important, since it was custom!). He scheduled the install for the week after the paper was delivered - that was wonderful, since with the holidays coming up, I fully expected to have to wait till next year! He kept me posted on the installation progress and sent pictures - I appreciated that, along with his enthusiasm which helped me feel much better about the second time of this long-distance project being the charm! I'd recommend Adam and Decorators Service Co. very highly!

From the time Adam came to my home to look at the project (painting my kitchen and cabinets) through the final visit of the paint crew, it was top-notch. The staff did a great job painting all the outside wood of our 95 year old house. They were all not only really adept at the job, they were also considerate about watching out for our cats (not leaving doors open for their escape!), careful to leave room for us to get our car out of the garage each day, and were gentle with our furnishings when gaining access to outside surfaces from inside the house. What could have been ten days of inconvenience/irritation for us was, instead, a time of gratitude for a job well done and pleasant interactions with really nice people.

Decorators service co painters our kitchen and bath remodel 3 years ago and we were very happy with the results. They returned this fall to do some additional indoor and outdoor painting for us. I used this company for a wallpaper job. I had to pay for and throw away three rolls of wallpaper and the process took two months due to the wrong information and lack of any professional communication. I was told an incorrect size to order and on installation day after the work began I was told that I didn’t have enough. I was told to order more and then had to wait weeks before they could try to place the wallpaper again. The wallpaper was placed and the colors of the two rolls of wallpaper did not match at all. I found out later from a different company that multiple rolls of wallpaper need to be ordered from the same lot number but was never told this from decorators service co. I was not advised of this and it was not checked by the man installing the wallpaper prior to him completing the job.

High quality craftsman type work. All concerns addressed. Excellent management oversight. Efficient work. We will only hire them to do additional work in our home. Don't ask for DJ we want him for ourselves.

Wallpaper pros are hard to come by but these folks came recommended by my friend who is a professional interior designer. She said they are who she used and I was not disappointed. I tried and failed to do the wallpaper myself, it was very finicky. I called one other pro nearby and they never got back to me, saying they could "maybe" fit me in 2 months from then. After my friend referred me to Decorators, I called and they came the next week! I had one wall to do and the wallpaper went down halfway to a chair rail. They finished in a few hours and the price was totally reasonable (in fact it came out slightly less than they estimated which always is a pleasant surprise). From now on I know who to go to and recommend for any wall-covering installations. We've used Decorator Services for two major jobs. Both were whole house make-overs. All of our woodwork is enameled - different colors in each room. That didn't faze them at all. They are excellent painters and excellent to work with. Adam is also very good at special effects. He turned two plain wood columns into cedar posts for us! We'd use them again in a heart beat.

Adam and his team did a wonderful job on our entire home remodel project. They were nice, timely and clean and Adam even gave me some wonderful color recommendations for cabinets and walls! (He turned me on to BM Revere Pewter!). It is wonderful having a contentious paint company as the project pulls together!
