About Us

Buchanan Construction is a family-owned and operated general contracting company, specializing in remodeling for the residential. Dale Buchanan, Owner, has been in the remodeling industry since 1985. His love for woodworking in high school led him to a career in construction. He started this career as a contractor remodeling nursing homes. Over the next year, he developed Buchanan Construction, which has been actively involved in residential remodeling in the DFW area since 1986. Buchanan Construction residential range of jobs covers: additions, kitchens, bathrooms, media rooms, closets, and outdoor living areas. We have the ability to handle jobs from the design and permit process, on through to construction and completion. With an on-site cabinet shop, we are able to specialize in custom and personalized cabinetry for any space. We have extensive experience working on complicated remodeling jobs while homes are occupied. Our on-time job schedules, job site organization, and cleanliness have brought many of our customers to call on us time and again, for all of their remodeling projects. Dale and his wife Debbie married in 1997. As Dale saw his company's continued growth, he also saw Debbie's career as a Neo-Natal Nurse Practitioner begin to flourish. Soon after they met, they had their two children, Brock and Blair. Brock is currently attending Auburn University and Blair will be graduating high school soon and plans to attend The University of Arkansas. WAR EAGLE…. WOOO PIG SOOIE!!!

Solutions, experience and integrity. Dale Buchanan is a contractor who likes to say yes, I can do that and will explain the options, costs and timing. THEN HE DELIVERS. I have worked with him for years on major and minor remodels—bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, windows, roofing, exterior stone work, storm damage, the whole gambit of home updates and upgrades. He is straightforward, fair, and honest. His crews and subs respect and treat your home with care. He insists on clean ups as they work, politeness and attention to detail. Dale will help you navigate an insurance claim and provides detail accounting updates for all projects. There are no hidden costs or surprise overruns. Quality for the price is absolutely solid. I wouldn’t think of taking on a home project without him to design, oversee and complete it.

We used Buchanan Construction to replace our roof and gutters after a hailstorm. Dale was easy to work with and very honest with what we did and did not need to do the project right. His price was fair and they finished the job in a timely manner, with no issues. We will definitely use them again!

Let me start off by saying I’ve known Dale Buchanan for over 30 plus years now. The best company to do a new build or remodel in the metroplex hands down! Dale not only has the knowledge he has the vision of the final product. When he finishes a job you’ll be in awe. It’s not about seeing how many jobs he can do in a year it’s about customer service while working on a job. He stays focused on each job and doesn’t overload his schedule where he can’t commit the time it takes to properly supervise his projects. Dale has done large jobs for me and I’ve recommended him to several of friends. Never once on a recommendation has he failed to show up or to give an estimate. “Neat freak”... If you all have had remodeling done in the past you know how messy and dusty it can be. He and his crew take the time before starting the day on the preparation it takes to cover walls, cover floors, move furniture etc... Used Buchanan Construction for a New roof after the storms. Received great advice, well written and detailed bid for the work to be completed. I felt Buchanan Construction was honest, polite and not trying to recommend more costly items than required. I've seen other work than roofs done by Buchanan and you can easily tell they know what they are doing and perform high quality work.

Dale's team's quality of work and punctuality was great! I had them do some minor cabinet restructuring in my kitchen, as well as painting the cabinets, and they did an incredible job! They finished with plenty of time to spare, while still maintaining the quality of their work. Dale was very easy to work with and I will definitely be using him again for any contractor jobs.

Buchanan Construction Company did a great job on our remodel in 2010, Dale is easy to work with and listens to what we wanted to do. Cost on this remodel was about $85,000 we remodel kitchen( new appliances, counter tops thru out the house, remove all the brass in home, bathrooms (4) all updated. We needed Dale’s Company again in 2014 had water damage problem both inside and outside, again Buchanan Company came in repaired all the issues without a problem. Cost about $45,000. New drywall, cabinetry and carpet on one whole side of house. New gutters House looks great.

I have used The Buchanan Team for almost 10 years now. They have done everything starting with my laundry room, bedrooms redesign a bar area and most recently a total kitchen remodel. Always very professional and dependable. I have been more than satisfied with the quality of their product. I would most highly recommend The Buchanan Team.

Dale and his team at Buchanan Construction are pros! I have hired them many times from a small bath redo to a full outdoor living space built from the ground up. Honesty, quality and craftsmanship are how I would describe them. I have referred them to friends and family and they have always performed as you would hope. Don;t hesitate to call them.

Dale helped us to remodel our master bathroom and did a great job. He and his people always showed up on time and completed the project in three weeks. They took out a massive Jacuzzi bath tub and installed a stand up shower that turned out so good we tell people the bathroom is the NICEST ROOM IN OUR HOUSE. I would hire Dale again next project we do, which will be the kitchen.

Me and my husband have been using Buchanan Construction for years on projects at our home. And for each project we have been very pleased. Buchanan Construction is always punctual, friendly and does great work! My husband and I don't always agree on a design but Dale Buchanan takes the time to listen to what we both have to say and somehow he designs something we both agree on and love! I highly recommend this company.
