Grothouse Wood Countertops

Exceptional Customer Service! We ordered a custom end grain countertop that is huge and cost many thousands. The company worked tirelessly to drill down on details of the project and get it right. Finally, it is shipped to us. We sign for it, unpack it, and open it. It was BROKEN in two! This was clearly the fault of shipping company, who would not reload it after we had signed for it. Huge bummer. Well, Grothouse dealt with shipper and insurance, who apparently denied their claim (and presumably Grothouse at the error that was not their fault). Even more stand-up for me is that they got right on top making us a brand new piece, at no charge whatsoever to us, and put the production at the head of the line. The new piece arrived promptly, no questions asked. This could have gone a number of ways, and Grothouse stood up and handled it with utmost integrity and responsibility. AAA+++ BTW: The piece itself is stunning.

I went to designer day at Grothouse and saw first hand the amazing array of choices in quality wood. They had a kind, highly informed and technically minded team there as well giving a 5/5 experience from end grain to end grain.

We ordered the custom Solid Wood Island Top with the edge grain in the Durata Satin with the cherry w/sapwood. The Island counter top is beautiful. As the designer we are extremely pleased and our client is very happy and loves their island.

We have used Grothouse for the last 3 or 4 years for clients who are looking for stunning, cutting-edge wooden countertops. Their innovative approach to what can be incorporated into their countertops means that you can charge your cellphone by placing it on a discrete diamond stamped in the wood; you can have an integrated bowl carved into the surface or have laser engraving done or integrated knife blocks or whatever your imagination can come up with, within reason! We highly recommend them for their professionalism and their customer service.
