About Us

Lavender House is a full service staging company that specializes in getting homes ready to sell. The owner, Diane Field, is an ASP® stager, as well as an experienced REALTOR® with Long & Foster Real Estate in Old Town, Alexandria. Diane is licensed in VA, MD and DC and has an understanding of what it takes to sell a home quickly and for top dollar in the current real estate market. The talented team at Lavender House can fully stage a large and vacant home or work with a homeowner to declutter and stage strategic spaces. They also have contacts with tradespeople to help with renovations, repairs, downsizing and moving and can consult on all manner of decor. Lavender House has a substantial inventory of high end furniture and accessories to give each staged home a unique, warm and inviting presence— a home that buyers are drawn to. Classy but comfortable, inviting and livable are the key words that define the Lavender House staging style.

Diane and her team staged a very large, historic, row home in Washington, DC for us. She listened carefully to what we wanted and what the owners wanted. She worked within our tight timeframe and within our budget. She did an amazing job - the house sold very quickly and part of the credit goes to Diane - her staging drew people to the house. We discovered Diane when we took buyers to other houses she had staged. Every house staged by her was a WOW. We would highly recommend Diane and Lavender House. Diane Field did a wonderful job staging my condo listing (2 bedrooms, 2 baths) . My client was concerned about the expense, so we decided to not furnish the bedrooms. This had no bad effect at all. The open floor plan consisting of kitchen, dining and living room looked stunning - and so did the bathrooms. The first impression did it all! The place looked beautiful and tasteful with a somewhat limited amount of furnishings - sometimes less is more. The staging was perfect and one of my guests at the first Open House fell in love with the condo and brought me an offer the very next day. I feel sure that the staging made all the difference and I would warmly recommend Diane to anybody. I cannot wait to use her again myself.

My husband and I were former art majors in college and very much in tune with decorating, color and composition. As such, Diane Field's staging abilities were far above and beyond our own sense of what was required to sell our home quickly. Her tasteful style and "just enough" knowledge about what a room needs to wow buyers is "instinctual." Our home was shown in it's best light and impressed two very hard to please customers! Hats off to a very special and gifted professional. Do yourself a favor and hire Diane and Lavender house ASAP!

Diane has a true gift and a stellar eye that transforms any space into a beautiful oasis. I could not believe my eyes when she transformed my lower unit condo into a beautiful modern space that I wanted to move back into instead of sell! Now I want Diane to "stage" my own home since I love her style. Diane gets things done in record time and adheres to a tight budget. She goes the extra mile all the time, I believe she finished my staging at 11 pm...she is definitely a wonder and my unit sold within days thanks to all of her hard work.

Diane Field is respected real estate agent in Long and Foster’s Alexandria office. As our agent she was able to stage the house in a way that made it look very up to date and serve as a pallet for individual discriminating taste for potential buyers and agents alike. Even those who were not interested in the house itself Complimented it’s look - Several agents volunteered that the staging was extraordinary. We would not have sold the house as quickly had it not been for Diane’s special touch and attention to detail.
