Its unfortunate that I have to write a negative review about Kurt and ZDG as we had a good experience with him during our project. Over the years we have had problems with some of the Hardie siding installed by ZDG, to the point where is is pulling away from the house in many areas. I had two certified Hardie installers look at the damage to determine the cause, both indicated that the original installation was not done correctly. I have reached out to Kurt numerous times over the past few months, asking him to meet with me and see if we could figure out a solution to the problem. Unfortunately, Kurt has refused my invitation and instead insists the work was done correctly and that the damage is the result of improper maintenance. I'm not sure how he was able to come to that conclusion without an inspection and it contradicts what I have been told by other contractors. Given that Kurt can't make time for a former customer and is unwilling to stand behind his work or even take a look at the problem I would not recommend him for your project.

Working with Zobrist Design Group on the "Island Breeze" project was a remarkable experience from start to finish. This was our first venture together, and it proved to be a perfect match. Kurt and team are among the best Architects in Cincinnati. We've worked with Kurt on several occasions to design and implement the landscapes around the beautiful homes he has worked to create. He and the Zobrist team shout professionalism at every stage of the design process. They are very responsive and are great communicators to ensure you get the home of your dreams (and landscape).

The intial design process was fluid and exceeded our expectations. Our contact person was accomodating and kept us on track during our meetings. I would recommend this company to a frien.

We hired ZDG a couple of years ago to design our den/office into a more usable space for our growing family. While we provided a general overview of what we were looking for, ZDG provided the perfect vision for turning a basic workspace into a multi-use home office/homework/computing environment. When the work was completed, we had the perfect spot for homework, general computing needs, storage for files, and displaying a large amount of our travel gifts, books and other items.

Awesome design creativity and project execution. We have used Kurt and his team on multiple projects for both the design and build work (patio/outdoor living, laundry/mud room, kids playroom and bedroom expansion) and could not be happier with how he listened to my wife and I and enhanced our ideas to exceeded our vision. I would highly recommend him for any remodel, or ground-up, design and build projects.
