SCM has done three different projects for us - Master Bathroom, Full Kitchen and all four secondary bathrooms. Simply put they are absolutely the best! Conscious of budget and price value, transparent and communicative on updates and scope changes and excellent on quality. Every project I inspect once finished - and I am VERY picky - I have to work hard to find things to fix they have not already identified. SCM is scoping our fourth project now. Will never ever use anyone else!

SCM's process of detail design followed by well-managed execution worked exceptionally well for us. We did a full kitchen/family room/pantry/laundry room renovation. We spent months working through the details of the layout, equipment specifications/selections, how each area will be used, tile/counter/colors/selections, ... It was very thorough, which enabled the construction process to progress seamlessly (12-13 week construction). We were very pleased with the trade workers, project management, site preparation and cleanliness. Pablo and his team have a very good eye for design and ensuring the finishes are right. The project came in on time and on budget (we added scope in other rooms during the project and were still on time). We are very pleased with the outcome (functionality, design, appearance) and would gladly work with SCM again.

We had damage caused by the big freeze in 2021 and we decided to upgrade our kitchen along with the repairs. We hired SCM to help us and we were very pleased by their performance. The design process was engaging and they took the time to understand our needs and paid particular attention to all of the finer details. During the construction phase they watched over every task and ensured the highest quality from their contractors. When something went wrong, something always does, there was never a hesitation to make things right. We couldn't have been happier with the overall experience and would hire SCM for the job again.

We interviewed and gathered quotes from many contractor/design firms. SCM was the first to actually take the time and reimagine our kitchen into a much more thoughtful and practical layout. The SCM team and their tradesmen were very professional and masters of their trades. They worked together to minimize issues or surprises, but those that arose, as they will in any project, were remedied quickly. Their project management skills and scheduling of resources ensured a smooth project even in light of inspectors that were unpredictable. A member of the SCM team was on site every day and always available for questions or concerns. We highly recommend SCM for your home project. We hope to have them return for additional projects at our home.

SCM just completed“phase 1” of our home remodeling. The service was top notch from day one. They completed the project within our budget, a week ahead of time and according to the Initial quote. The quality of their work is unbelievable. Pablo and his team had also had great suggestions for alternatives that worked better logistically and aesthetically (eg installing doggie door in laundry room wall). Pablo identified the issues with this and gave us all the information so we could make the best decision. He also gave us his opinion on the simplest choice. We were impressed with his and his team knowledge, professionalism and helpful advice and suggestions. We always felt they had our best interest in mind. They even handled permitting through the Woodlands township. We had absolute peace of mind throughout the entire process. They worked tirelessly to ensure our complete satisfaction. They are just amazing. We can’t wait to start on phase 2!

SCM Design recently completed a whole house (4500 sf) remodel for us, including all cabinetry, countertops, appliances, doors, plumbing, stairs, flooring and paint in all rooms. The project duration was 3-1/2 months. We are very pleased with the beautiful result. Pablo and the staff at SCM are most professional and closely supervised and tracked all aspects of the project. Their team of tradesmen do the highest quality work and are courteous and trustworthy. The planning for the project was detailed and they delivered according to schedule. All questions and requests were answered immediately. The COVID-19 isolation occurred in the middle of our project but Pablo was able to quickly adjust his work schedule to comply with all isolation requirements and still meet his project commitments. We highly recommend SCM without reservation.

SCM Design completed a remodel of our kitchen, as well as new paint, carpet, and lighting fixtures throughout the house. Pablo and Blythe provided thoughtful design and excellent service throughout, going above and beyond to accommodate us during the process. They were quick to resolve any issues that arose. We had a great experience with SCM and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Once again SCM Design Group went over and above with their work on our home. This is the 4th project we have had them take on and just like with the other three, we couldn't be more pleased! Pablo, Blythe and crew at SCM Design Group creatively transformed our rather dated looking and DARK kitchen and family room area into a gorgeous, bright, and light reflective area that we love. Pablo helped us envision this transformation in advance using his "magic computer" that reflected all of the choices that we made in floor tile, backsplash, cabinetry, and countertops with the elements of our kitchen/family that were not changing. From that we could tell what the finished product would look like and were able to make various alternative choices in terms of stains, paint and the like. These are consummate professionals who will give you candid advice as to choices you are considering; who deliver on the final design goals; and respect and encourage your choices so the end result is as much yours as it is theirs. I highly recommend them.

We recently completed a full remodel of our kitchen with SCM Design Group. We looked at several companies to assist us and are so incredibly thankful that Pablo chose us! That seems strange to say, but from the beginning, we could tell that while we thought we were interviewing SCM - they were interviewing us as well! SCM did a kitchen, butler pantry and laundry remodel for us as well as replacing our floors downstairs. They did a wonderful job !!! They were very responsive and worked with us on every aspect of the project to ensure that we were happy with the end result. The SCM Design Group was just what we needed to remove a 2004 Master Bath and transform it into a modern bath to fit into our unique lake house. We needed help with design and project management. SCM was very responsive and I was never left waiting for someone to show up. Very prompt and always got the job done as expected. I really appreciated the high-end materials that were used and the professional manner that little glitches associated with major remodeling were handled. It was truly a no-stress 7 week job. From our initial meeting to project completion Pablo and the SCM staff preformed in a professional, personable, dependable, competent, organized manner. Pablo provided us with extremely detailed concept drawings, cost estimate and a project timeline prior to beginning our upstairs remodeling project. No surprises – Pablo kept us informed daily; we always knew what to expect through-out the entire project. And, Pablo listens to his clients, really listens, and offers advice when needed. In this way he can understand his clients’ project requirements and how best to achieve their vision within a budget. Every electrician, plumber, carpenter, painter, tile expert, rug installer, materials contractor and SCM staff member did their job on-time with care and pride. SCM was absolutely the BEST. I cannot say enough about their professionalism, timeliness, and attention to detail. Also, you are apprised of every detail of cost up front and are notified immediately of any cost change orders based on any changes you might make. Pablo and Blythe are so easy to work with. They only work with the best subcontractors and many of their workers are employed in house. Every workman at our home raved about how much they loved doing work for SCM and how Pablo requires their very best work. Pablo and Blythe are VERY involved in their projects. Most days, they would stop in at my house at least 2 or 3 times to oversee the work and make sure everything was going according to plan. You receive a detailed work timeline which was spot on! We started with a full kitchen remodel but were so impressed with their work and professionalism that we ended up doing much more. Our house is truly now a home. I interviewed 4 companies before deciding on SCM for my kitchen remodel. They were by far the most prepared and most professional for my first meeting. We took several weeks to finalize the design as well as make selections for finishes, and they were extremely patient, accompanying me to product vendors multiple times at my request. They were knowledgeable about products throughout the process, staying supportive of my choices, while offering good advice and opinions. Before the demolition began, they spelled out a timeline for the project and in the end, their estimate was extremely close to the original plans, maybe different by only a week. What I was MOST impressed with was their attention to detail during the remodel. Pablo and Blythe spent many hours in my kitchen while I was away, supervising installations, etc, while keeping in constant contact with me, via texting with photos and questions. Any time I had concerns during the construction, they were addressed and problem solved, no questions asked!! They acted as my advocate as a buyer for all the products I purchased (appliances, etc). Even though I had a pretty clear idea for the design and feel for the kitchen myself, they made many suggestions for finishes that I ended up using in the final plans (hardware, etc). They really listened to what I wanted and understood my taste completely. They didn't complete the project until every last detail was perfection! I am blown away by my kitchen!!! The end result far exceeded my expectations which is all the result of SCM's thorough planning, meticulous attention to detail and amazing customer service. I'm greatly satisfied with the work I've done with Pablo Arguello. I first hired him in 2013 to remodel the kitchen and number of smaller projects. And then for the master bathroom remodeling in 2014. I'm very satisfied with the results. Some problems occurred time to time as you would expect with bigger projects, but every time they were solved efficiently. After some time working together I got the impression that Pablo knows my house better than I do and he never minds the calls even if it's apparently plumbing or electrical unrelated to his projects, he can give the valuable advice or to send the proper person to help. I'm sure it saved my money numerous times.
