Wendi and her crew are absolutely incredible professionals, and even better people. They are effective, efficient and thoughtful. When you hire Wendi, you assume you're getting a landscaper. What you'll soon find out is you're getting a beautiful, dedicated, creative who is holistically dedicated to the craft of learning and growing alongside colleagues each and every day. She's knows everything about your soil, yard, and flora, but she'll get to know you too, seeking to depict your own spirit and soul in the space around you. I knew it from the moment she texted me before our appointment that she was someone I'd recommend to any and everyone. I can't say enough about how transformative her work is; she even did things to our front and backyard I didn't even have the vision to ask for. Our house is now a home because of her magical touch. Wendi and her team are incredible to work with - they have an incredible eye for design, unmatched knowledge, and a very personal touch. They transformed our neglected backyard into a private paradise, and turned our front yard into a scenic landscape that finally does justice to our house. More than anything, they really care about their work. I have had so many outdoor professionals come through our property, and none of them pointed out some of the issues or problems that we might face with our landscaping layouts. We saved a ton of money in avoiding future disasters! Lastly, it is always great to know that your money is going to support a good social causes. I love the mission of the organization, and the entire team could not have been more nice or professional. They were a pleasure to work with, and we look forward to continuing to use their services.

We had just moved into a new home that had nothing but straw and some trees, no plants. It's been 2 years since Wendi initially designed our garden and we have added more in the last few months. I wrote last year how wonder the garden was in winter. Now it's late spring and I am overwhelmed at its beauty. I look out my back porch and all the windows in my home that face the garden and I am awed. Artistry in Plants team is responsive, respectful and have a desire to please. And I am not easily pleased! Wendi Gale and her group from Artistry in Plants were outstanding in every respect. They transformed the small area adjacent to my patio into a sanctuary that I treasure every day. Wendi developed her design based on my interests and input and came up with a beautiful plan with elements I never considered. The space is beautiful, low maintenance, and attracts birds and butterflies. Wendi is enthusiastic, fair, and after our interactions a good friend.

We hired Artistry in Plants to refresh our landscaping and to clear out the extensive wooded areas that surround our property. We were incredibly impressed by Wendy's eye for landscape design as she was able to create beautiful rooms within our yard that served as focal points. Artistry used both unusual and native plants to create vibrant areas that attract pollinators and she removed invasive plants and others that were impeding the health of the trees and bushes. Overall her crew did excellent installation of the plants and did a lot of hard work clearing out the wooded areas. The crew was respectful and cleaned up the property meticulously. We were also impressed by the company's social responsibilities goals and we were incredibly happy to support this mission. We have loved watching and living in our new yard! Amazing transformation of my yard! Having recently moved into a home with a neglected landscaping that I knew needed to be changed, I spoke with local landscapers. All seem to lack creativity in plant selection even though I explained that I was a gardener and wanted some unique plants. Discouraged, I turned to Houzz for yard inspiration when I stumbled upon “Artistry in Plants” owned by Wendi Gale. What drew me to the company was not only the positive reviews, but how different each of the projects seemed. No “one style fits all” approach! Upon meeting Wendi, I immediately felt as if I had been reunited with a long-lost friend. After we spoke and she saw my property, Wendi was quick to understand what I wanted to achieve with my yard. Even with my gardening experience, she had a better botanical vision than I could ever imagine. She challenged me to look at the property and see it in different ways to reach its potential. She was generous in her time and made suggestions that I could achieve immediately and/or in stages. Wendi and her courteous crew impressed me with their hard work (even working through rain showers), and they kept the job site tidy. As they began to clean up my neglected wooded area, Wendi respected my concerns of trimming trees by asking me about it and showing me how best to do it. By then, she had earned my trust in her expertise. I told her to do what she knew was best; after all, she was truly the artist with plants. And I was really excited that, rather than discarding or trashing existing plants, Wendi relocated the healthy ones to better suited parts of my yard. When she finished, I was just shocked how well all of it came together and how it enhanced the house and property. While I knew the individual plant selections were outstanding, the plant combinations were magical. All of my neighbors have commented positively about the changes in my yard. Wendi was astute in her assessment and held my hand through the process, producing a low maintenance four season dream garden to enjoy in my retirement years. Every day when I pull in my driveway and when I look out my house windows, my heart is filled with the joy of Wendi’s artistic plant vision. I look forward to continuing to work with my plant friend Wendi on my private backyard wooded garden.

Wendi and her crew came to help us and a neighbor after a large tree was toppled by high winds. It was still raining, and there was little space to work within our yard, as the tree truly filled them both up. The crew was positive, as well as amazingly efficient, going above and beyond to help us in a time of need. Wendi's dedication to community is sincere and her goal to lift people up obvious. We are deeply appreciative to have her as a fellow community member in Durham.

I love working with Wendi and her crew. I've tried multiple other landscapers, and no one was able to help me figure out how to design a landscaping plan that would be both aesthetically pleasing and easy to maintain. Wendi came over, and helped me figure out what to do to transform my garden. We are still in the process of completing the yard transformation--but already its 100% better.
