I have worked with John in the past with great results. Recently we had him and his associates redo our large porch. we are thrilled with the results. Great attention to detail. We also had some tricky woodwork detail over our windows in our 1879 home. John's skills as a carpenter in reproducing our woodwork was amazing. We couldn't be happier. Communication was very good. We will surely use Mississauga Decks and Trim again.

Mississauga Decks and Trim did a fantastic job in my backyard and inside my home. I was provided an estimate in a very timely manner. John Morrissey was happy to answer any and all questions I had regarding the project. The work started and finished on time with an excellent clean up of the area. John and his crew were amazing from the very beginning. From understanding exactly what we wanted -5 sided custom size gazebo with extended deck and privacy screen on 3 sides in the space that we had, (a space that was wasted and never used). Well to say that we really enjoyed the area this summer is an understatement, everyone that sees it are in awe of the workmanship. The final results was on exactly what I had envisioned - something that 3 other companies looked at me like I was crazy. John and his crew worked through the winter starting our project January 2022 and stayed within the timeframe that they said they would to get it done. I have recommended MDT to many people. You won’t be sorry if you hire John!

We chose John and his Team because of their promised superior quality and workmanship. Our deck project offered some unique challenges as it was a custom build. John and his Team, especially Art, delivered everything that they promised and more. So much so, in fact, that we had the team back to complete a second project this year. I cannot say enough good things about MDT. They rebuilt my deck in April and I am extremely happy with the results. I contacted 5 Toronto-area deck contractors to quote on replacing my old ground-level deck that was falling apart due to moisture issues and carpenter ants. Chris from MDT was one of the few people to actually call me back rather than email, and he gave me a ton of information on the phone and answered all of my questions. One of the first things he said to me was "if you're looking for a cheap and fast low-quality rebuild, we're not the people for you". Chris came to my house twice to look at the old deck and discuss options for materials and design. It was clear that he was very proud of the work they do. I opted for cedar decking, and although their quote was a bit higher than the others, I selected MDT because of their excellent communication, pride of work, longer warranty, and more detailed payment schedule. John contacted me to schedule the rebuild, and he was a pleasure to work with. John and Diego arrived on schedule, and they worked hard to complete the demolition and rebuild within a reasonable time. These guys don't rush. They're trim carpenters and they pay very close attention to detail. Following demolition, they put down landscaping fabric and gravel to reduce weed growth. The deck board spacing is consistent (I have no drainage issues now), all screws line up perfectly, and the surrounding planters made from 4x4s are beautifully built.

An absolute professional. John took what was a basic deck, demolished and rebuilt an incredible space for us to enjoy. With young kids, ensuring each screw is below the the surface is key for safety. The finishing details were immaculate. They cut a small piece on a 45 degree angle, matched by a 45 degree angle on the end of the railing. The small piece was then glued and screwed in to complete a finished look that eliminated seeing the grain. Every single person who's seen the deck is floored by the carpentry skills. I have recommended John and his crew to family and friend alike. You will not be disappointed in the final product!

John and his crew did an incredible job building our new deck. The deck is almost 800 sq ft, and has 2 privacy screens and a large pergola in the middle. John is meticulous in his detail. Every cut is sealed. No end cuts are exposed. End cuts are all sanded. Any ripped boards are mitered to match the opposite side. John and his crew are true craftsmen. They had some incredible ideas to deal with various problems, like building cabinets to deal with all the seat cushions. They even built a small pergola by our patio to tie all the structures together. This is top quality workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend John. You will not be disappointed.
