Maverick built us a fireplace and patio. He came out to our house to give us a bid very promptly and within 2.5 weeks, the project was complete. We met with Maverick in early spring as we were looking to build a substantial patio with a fireplace in our backyard and we had a good feeling about him right away. We had a few ideas about what we wanted, but needed a “vision” to get the design process started; Maverick saw the space and immediately had that vision, which was (more or less) realized later in the summer. We ended up with a beautiful outdoor living space that we love more and more as time passes. Maverick pushes the use of real natural stone and likes to say, “Today is the worst this stone will ever look.” So far it seems like he is right and we look forward to watching our backyard investment age well! Working with Maverick was a very personal experience for us, and we have reason to believe we are not alone with those thoughts. Maverick spent quite a bit of time with us going through design iterations and taking multiple trips to look at materials, all the while getting to know us and our tastes. One of our young toddler son’s first discernible words was “Maverick,” and he would run to the window whenever he saw Maverick’s red truck. Take that for what it is worth, but it was worth a lot to us. Finally, it is difficult to imagine getting better service from a provider during and after a project than we continue to experience with Maverick. He has proven on several occasions that he will fully stand behind his work. We, thankfully, did not have any big mishaps, but the typical issues that will come up on a construction project were always handled quickly and, more importantly, correctly. We even joked a few times when we would send Maverick a note during a summer evening and it seemed like minutes later we would look outside and see him pulling up to our house to check it out. That is just one example of how he seemed to care about our project as much as we did. I would recommend Maverick Landscaping to anyone, especially someone looking to create a custom and truly outstanding space.

In August of 2014, Maverick Landscaping laid a granite patio, walks, steps and a built-in stone kitchenette with granite counter for our back yard and it is FABULOUS!! Maverick was VERY professional and patient with our project concerns and stipulations. As an Engineer and an Artist, we had VERY HIGH standards for quality, appearance and timing. We might be considered difficult clients in that we were very involved in the process and oversight. Maverick and his crew met these standards superbly. He not just tolerated are involvement, but clearly had experience with the likes of our perfectionistic style in the past and handled it with grace. He communicated EVERYTHING clearly and affectively about the project's process, schedule, and characteristics of the materials. He was always friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, but most of all HONEST about everything, even things that we might not want to hear but needed to know. He was almost always present and usually actively working himself at the sight, overseeing the quality and making sure we were happy at every stage of the process. He came back weeks later to check on everything and assure our satisfaction. His vast experience was invaluable to our planning and also to the specifics of our site an our design wishes. While we paid a bit more for our job, the quality of materials, planning, scheduling and communication it was totally worth it for the overall quality and long term success of our patio environment. Our daughter's wedding reception was AMAZING in our beautiful new backyard environment thanks to Maverick Landscaping.

Upon starting some of our exterior upgrades, we found Maverick and couldn't be happier. His sense of urgency and professionalism made the whole project so easy. We had an idea, and Maverick took it to the next level. Our front steps are absolutely beautiful! We will, without a doubt, only utilize Maverick for all of our projects in the future!

Did a great job installing the Kozy Heat Bayport 36 fireplace for a customer in Overland Park, Kansas. They replaced the previous fireplace, a Majestic 36, with a brand new Kozy Heat direct vent gas fireplace.

There probably isn't a better name for this company or its owner, Maverick. The transformation of my boring and outdated fireplace into a rustic, distinguished, custom masterpiece of art was far from conventional, ordinary, or run of the mill. Maverick is one-of-a-kind! From inception, Maverick made himself available to me so that I could share my vision for the new fireplace as a focal point in the living room, and he helped me perfect the concept through discussion, pictures, and samples of natural stone product to ensure my satisfaction with its quality, color, design, etc. It was Maverick who suggested adding a mantle made of reclaimed wood to add interest (and some functionality) to the stone while not overpowering the entire fireplace. Without a doubt, the fabulous end result was made possible by Maverick who is an expert in his field and uniquely creative and customer-focused. Maverick is also ethical, staying within the quoted budget and timeframe for completion. Simply, he did what he said he would do. In fact, he exceeded expectations on the turnaround time for the project. His attention to detail and excellence are top-notch, and I'm extremely satisfied with the entire experience. Maverick is a must-hire!
