About Us

Whitestone is a family company that’s been building and Renovating in the Metro Halifax area since 1995. We understand that the building process can be confusing and sometimes scary to potential homeowners. That’s why we’re hands-on builders. We believe in being onsite, accessible, and only a phone call away. At Whitestone, we take as much pride in being attentive and responsive to our clients’ needs as we do in the final product. We’re a small company that focuses on every little detail. Whitestone founders Tamara & Andrew are both well-respected building industry leaders who continue to research and implement better ways to build. Whitestone is also an active member of the Nova Scotia Home Builders’ Association. Staying on top of the newest technologies and construction practices is how we provide our clients with the best-of-the-best building options. Customer service matters to us, and so does community service. From volunteering our own time to supporting local community events and charities through the Nova Scotia Home Builders Care program, Whitestone is proud to give back to the communities we build in.

It was a pleasure having Tamara and Andrew Watson of Whitestone Building and Renovations in charge of repairing all the damage from our recent Insurance Claim at our house. They were very professional in their delivery to share that our insurance adjuster did not quote adequately for the necessary repairs required to bring the house back to its original state. We hence had a second visit from our insurer who accepted the professional detailed quote provided by Whitestone Building and Renovations. They completed the work so very efficiently, that we commissioned them to rebuild our entire new deck outside. It would be my pleasure to refer Whitestone to anyone that requires a home to be built, a renovation or any related work.

We hired this company to renovate our exsisting home; did full kitchen and basement reno with many structural changes. All involved were very professional and great to work with. They were on top of any problems that arose immediately. Andrew Watson, the owner, is very knowledgible, as well as his staff. We call him our "Mike Holmes" of the maritimes! True craftsmen.
