We hired Kelley (Kelley Elizabeth Interiors) after attending a dinner at a friend’s home and noticed their newly renovated living room. The furniture, lighting and window treatments all worked so well together that we complimented them on their good design sense. That’s when they told us they hired an interior designer to get help with the room. My wife and I had made almost all of our decorative and design decisions for our home in the past and I think we’ve done a pretty good job, but our family room was in definite need of a makeover. Years were passing and we still had our TV stuck in our small armoire, ancient pine 70s style wainscoting all around, annoyingly placed halogen recessed lighting and an overall less than friendly layout for entertaining. We contacted Kelley and she was a pleasure to work with. She was able to provide us with several different room configurations that were much more conducive to entertaining and our day to day living needs. The whole process was fairly easy and enjoyable and most of it we did from her home office where we were able to browse furniture, lighting, accent pieces, window treatments, fabrics, etc. We never felt pressure of any kind and she genuinely wants you to be happy with your choices, it also helps that she has good taste! We were able to use some of our existing furniture in ways we could have never imagined. Decisions that would have taken us months on our own were completed in a week or two. We also used Kelley’s contractors for much of the work and couldn’t be happier with the results. Her window treatment people are literally the A-team. We love the results and spending time in our family room now is a much more enjoyable experience. We’re really happy that we used Kelley’s expertise and resources for our redesign project.
