I wanted to have some landscaping done for my back yard, my office to be renovated, a wine closet to be built, a door replaced, and a glass pantry door installed and Landmark was able to complete all the projects in a timely manner and above my expectations. The owner Derek was extremely friendly, professional, always on time and communicated with me frequently so that I did not have to worry about his commitment to my projects. The quality of the work was also top notch and to this day, I get a lot of complements from friends who have seen the finished product. Probably what I liked the most was that Derek really wanted me to walk away with the best finished product and was always thinking of different options that he thought I might like. Most contractors want you to tell them what you want and they won't let you know if there are other options that might save you money or give you a better product. Derek always found a way to make just the right suggestions and I am thankful that he did because his vision for my office helped to make the renovation better than my original ideas. We hired Derek to redo two full bathrooms and to update our kitchen with new counter tops and a large granite island and table. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Derek is meticulous in everything he does. That alone would be enough to get him 5 stars. However, in our case, we also needed someone to guide us through the entire design process and Derek did a fantastic job of doing just that. We started with very few specifics for what we wanted and Derek took it from there, coming up with layout, colors, materials, patterns, lights, etc. And he was also very respectful when we would say that we didn't like some aspect of his suggestions. He would just come up with other alternatives. I believe that he spent as many hours thinking about our project when he was away from our house as he did actually working in the house. And lastly, Derek is one of the nicest people that you will ever meet.

IMHO, what sets Landmark Homes from other home improvement companies, is their ability to listen to your ideas and improve upon them. You can tell they have a passion for what they do and enjoy the creative process (with top-notch workmanship). We communicated our improvement thoughts and budget; they improved upon the ideas with other creative, cost-effective solutions. We're very happy with the outcome! Landmark Home Improvement installed new sheathing, siding and windows on our home. It's a year later now, and we remain highly impressed with the job. Derek (the owner) has a *HIGH* attention to detail, and made sure the job was done right the first time. Unlike many home improvement operations, Derek performs most of the work himself. He doesn't hire a huge team that can't understand or speak to you, and in fact I think he only hired 1-2 other guys to help with some of the big things like installing the sheathing. This fosters great communication, as he gives you regular status updates on his progress or any problems he's running into (rot around windows, non-plumb walls, etc). He's always available to answer questions, and is very knowledgeable about his line of work. I have nothing but high marks for Derek. The waiting list may be long, but you'll be glad you waited. And in fact, I'd rather hire someone with a long waiting list...that means he's in high demand. I asked for some references before we hired him, and those references had nothing but the highest praise for Derek. One more thing...with these high marks you'd think Landmark has exorbitant prices...not so. He was more affordable than most of the contractors we looked at...and we received estimates from at least half a dozen operations.

Installed a sliding glass door & replaced & painted wood trim. Installed a whole house fan. Installed a bathroom cabinet. Derek is very thorough, professional & courteous. The projects were completed on time.

Total remodel of Kitchen & Master Bath. Window replacement - whole house. Painting - interior & exterior. EXCEPTIONAL planning, advice & work. Derek gave us great advice when choosing tile, granite, cabinets, paint, lighting & design. Designs were functional & beautiful. Work site was always cleaned up at the end of the day. Derek (and company) did an excellent job on our bathroom remodel. He was very helpful in coming up with a wonderful selection of materials based on our conversations. The workmanship is great. He used the existing layout, but incorporated all new materials (tile, shower, commode, cabinetry, fixtures, etc. The only thing that stayed was the jacuzzi tub, doors and baseboard. We love it!
