Mullet Cabinet

Mullet has been providing custom cabinets for a project for over a year now. We find the team to be highly skilled with attention to detail. The cabinet approval drawings are returned quickly and accurately and the installations are beautiful. The cabinets are beautiful without the finish issues we've had with other custom lines. Any minor tweaks or warranty issues have been promptly addressed. We're very pleased!

Mullet Cabinets has done several cabinets for our home. Not only is their work outstanding, but their customer service is as well. They are exceptionally easy to work with, prompt to respond to questions, and make the process seamless from design to installation. We couldn't be happier with their work!

I purposefully waited one year before reviewing the kitchen cabinetry that Mullet Cabinets installed for us. I am still as enchanted with my own kitchen as I was the day it was done. During the installation, which took several days, the kitchen area was amazingly clean whenever the workers left for the day. They were extremely accommodating in terms of problems: even though they installed the central island exactly according to the drawings, once it was in situ it became obvious that a small move to one side would make the space much more visually pleasing. They have moved the whole thing with a smile and no charge even though it took at least a half a day of work to accomplish. The cabinets are as smooth and satiny as the day they arrived. They are easy to clean with no hidden flaws that would show up later or with usage. The seating connected to the central island and supported by one central pillar (as per the firm designer's suggestion) is beautiful and sturdy enough to have two high school boys use and abuse it with no damage ( I was a bit worried). There is only one thing I would do differently after a year of use: I would not have the knee activated opening installed on my several of my under the counter cabinets. It is not functioning the way I thought it would and should. It opens when one leans against it and will not open when using the handle. It does not close when it should. But that is a hardware and my expectation issue, not a problem with the firm's service or workmanship. Though I would have appreciated a warning about the limits of the function. To summarize: the firm might not be cheap, but you sure get what you pay for: careful, detail oriented, experienced and easy going designer, highest quality cabinets and the most wonderful work crew I can imagine. If you have time, tour the company's workshop/factory. It is an education in work processes and the owner/guide exudes pride, enthusiasm and confidence in his own business.

For years I compared various kitchen cabinets, looking to achieve my dream of a kitchen that would make me happy every time that I worked in it. My dream came true when I discovered Mullet Cabinets in Millersburg, Ohio. The designer was wonderful, he proposed features that I would not have thought of on my own. I gave him my basic wishes and he came up with a great plan!! I can honestly say, there was NOT one problem with any part of the installation. Their workers were all very pleasant, skillful and easy to work with. Knowing the issues that some of my family have had when installing through the big box stores, I feel very fortunate to have found such a great company to provide the kitchen I had dreamed of !!

Nightmare customer service experience. Mullet Cabinets cancelled my order on the eve of my construction project without any explanation. We relied on their bid proposal. Our order (cabinets) was for a certain wood product at a certain price. However, several elements of the proposal were vague. When confronted about the vagueness of their proposal, their salesperson, Steve Monroe, made price changes and flip-flopped on the type of wood. When we asked for clarification, they hid from us for weeks and then abruptly cancelled our order two days before our construction project was scheduled to commence. When Steve Monroe deferred comment on their cancellation, I spoke with Nick Mullet, an owner, about it. He said "we were not a good fit" (our project is in Hawaii). But, the fact that our project is in Hawaii was disclosed up-front and never concealed. We had previously discussed shipping and other associated details. Mullet Cabinet drew up plans for the cabinets (we were led to believe that all of our proverbial ducks were in order). But, Nick Mullet then lied to us, claiming that Mullet Cabinets ONLY served an area one to two hours from the factory. Let me put this situation in context, we had been communicating/planning this project with Mullet Cabinets for 11 months. We traveled from Hawaii and visited the showroom, met with their employees and managers, and we even toured the workshop...twice! This leads me to believe that their claim of only serving a limited geographic area was a pretext for some other reason (which they have refused to disclose) for cancelling our order. I think this was a bait and switch scheme. When we inquired further about the type of wood they would be using in our cabinets, they got scared (perhaps using a certain type or grade of wood in the cabinets) and cancelled our order to our detriment. Again, no concrete reasons, other than pure pretext and platitudes, were given for cancelling our order. Now our project will be seriously delayed as we have an immediate need for cabinets and must go through the entire process of selecting a manufacturer, submitting plans, determining whether the new manufacture can complete the order to match our construction schedule, shipping time...etc. I was led to believe that Mullet Cabinets was a fair and square organization and now I know they are not. I will never recommend them to anyone or ever deal with them again. Further, I WILL be reporting them to the Ohio DCCA for violating the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act.

Mullet remodeled my kitchen in 2012. I am so happy with it and they did a great job. Our home is about 3.5 hours away so we visited their showroom (highly recommend) and worked mostly via email to work out the details. The thing that stands out the most for me is how pleasant they are to work with, from the designer to the installers and everyone I spoke to via phone. They want to please their customers and will do what it takes to make you a satisfied customer.

Mullet made a custom cabinet for me to complete a kitchen remodel. The staff from Mullet were extremely courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and professional.
