Plumberry Designs, Inc. is a design-focused kitchen and bath firm known for creating fully customized spaces tailored to each client’s style and budget. Custom design does not always mean custom cabinets, we work with a full range of cabinetry options—including stock, semi-custom, and if necessary fully custom—allowing them to deliver custom-designed results at multiple investment levels. I have used Richard and Plumberry designs for two major renovations- a kitchen and master and guest baths. In both cases, Richard was able to come up with a new design layout to make the spaces more open and functional. The finishes he selected were beautiful and the process was so seamless with him project managing the contractor and deliveries. I would not hesitate to use Richard again and highly recommend them.

With a goal of aging in place in my three bedroom one bath ranch with laundry in the basement, I set out to build a master bathroom addition that would be accessible should I need a wheelchair or walker, which my original bathroom decidedly was not. While I had very specific utilitarian requirements, I hoped that my new master bath would also be spa like and beautiful. Elaine and Richard at Plumberry Designs exceeded my expectations in designing the perfect bathroom, walk-in closet, and laundry area. They zeroed in on my style preferences and presented me with options within my budget that checked all the boxes—handicap accessible, practical, stylish, and beautiful. They interfaced so well with my contractor, creating a design book that proved invaluable to him, me, and the subcontractors. I feel so fortunate to have had their expert assistance in what was, for me, a major construction project. There were very few glitches, mostly supply chain related, but each issue was resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. I highly recommend Richard, Elaine, and Bonnie at Plumberry Designs. I literally could not have achieved such a wonderful result without their help and guidance.

Richard and Plumberry Designs was recommended to us by a friend who used Plumberry on their kitchen and bathroom remodels and when we begin working with Richard, we knew we made the right choice. Richard took the time to find out our needs, wants and style for our kitchen and bathroom remodels and incorporated them into several project proposals. His ideas surpassed what we had thought of and we could not happier with the results. Richard spent time and laid out every detail on every element - cabinets, floors, tiles, lighting, plumbing, fixtures, accessories - which gave us a comfort level on what to expect in an organized, informative manner along with budgets for each of the areas. Being a Type A person, I truly appreciated it. Richard recommended the contractor who implemented his design and Richard worked closely with him to ensure the project was done perfectly. Richard went above and beyond what was in the plans to ensure that other surrounding rooms complemented our new kitchen and bathroom. His knowledge of design and products and his vision helped us create a beautiful family space that we will enjoy for many years to come. I look forward to using Richard and Plumberry Designs for future projects in our home.

My partner and I hired Richard and his firm for a complete kitchen re-design. We had an original 1920s layout and several tiny rooms for a kitchen. He was able to completely re-design the space, making one large kitchen with cabinetry custom to our needs. He was professional, punctual, adhered to our budget and his design aesthetic was superb. Richard took the time to really make sure we were happy with the end product. We've worked with other designers in the past, but after working with Richard he will be our go-to for future design work. Could not be happier!

Richard and Elaine gave me the kitchen and family room of my dreams. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. Richard prepared a project book detailing each portion of the job: electric, plumbing and contractor information for cabinet installation, flooring etc.. He provided each craft with their portion of the project plan and was always available for any questions to ensure that everyone was "on plan". Their assistance in selecting cabinets, counter tops, appliances and even furniture was priceless. Richard discovered that 2 of the appliances I chose were changed by the manufacturer and worked diligently to help me chose different models that worked with my design. I have no plans to move, however, if that happened they would be the first call I would make for any renovations.

We have used Plumberry Designs twice now for two new kitchens in our homes in Florida. I have to say that we were very pleased with the professionalism and creative designs provided. When retrofitting kitchens in limited spaces, Richard was able to come up for design ideas that gave us much more usable room and great contemporary designs. He was very thorough and worked well with our budgets. We were able to create a new kitchen that have been fantastic to use, with an elegant look and great quality, while staying within our budget. I would recommend him to anyone.

About 10 year ago, Richard did such an amazing job guiding the major renovations on our 100 year old home (including gutting and reimagining the kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and an attic master bedroom) that we've invited him back numerous times since then. In recent years, we finished the basement including adding a wine cellar and added a laundry room, reconfiguring the second floor bedrooms. Throughout all of these projects, Richard was the ultimate professional, keeping everything organized and moving, and he is a pleasure to work with. I love my home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plumberry.
