Rainbow Valley Design & Construction

My home is a 1950 construction 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath. Rainbow Valley helped me to convert the Bath (Tub/Shower) into a aging in place walk in Shower. I now have a heated subway tile floor, with coordinating tile shower and walls. It is simple, elegant, comfortable and perfect for now and later. The team was easy to work with, respectful and professional. I would hire them again!!!

We knew we had found the right architect to build our new house when he said our dream house was his dream house. We thoroughly enjoyed the design process with Alec Dakers and then later the building process with Michael Scarola, our project manager. We appreciated working and exploring with Alec and Michael as they figured out how to build our not so typical house. The entire building crew including in-house and subcontractors were very professional and knowledgable, easy to work with, and fun to be around. Because we wanted to be a part of the building process, we were able to help many of the trades and appreciated their willingness to tolerate our learning curves. Occasionally, both Alec and Michael donned their tool belts and we all worked together to add some of our unique elements. We would definitely recommend Rainbow Valley for your design and construction needs especially if you want to push the envelope and design something out of the ordinary.

RVDC has been a part of our home renovation for two years running. The first part of the project , living room, hallway, bathroom, proved to be more daunting than expected as they had to tear down to the studs in order to replace wiring, insulation (or lack thereof). Throughout the whole process the crew was extraordinarily efficient, helpful, always pleasant. Since we made the decision to live in the house while they were working, they made sure the place was cleaned up every night when we returned from work. The crew is very good at anticipating needs and explaining procedures, so it was a learning experience. I grew so fond of everyone that we threw a celebration party on completion A year later they were back to do the bedrooms and master bathroom, again down to the studs; again we decided to remain in the house, again efficient, helpful, and always pleasant.. We did not have any problems with budget concerns and there were some changes due to the size of the job once the walls and ceilings were removed. It was discussed and dealt with very professionally. I would like to give a special thanks to Alec Dakers, Dean Lamoueux, and Phillip Baxter, all of whom are very professional, knowledgeable, and always available. We highly recommend RVDC and when we decide upon the third phase of the renovation project, they will be the ones we call.

I hired Rainbow to do an interior remodel on a 30's built home. We were updating it for accessibility. They did a fantastic job working with us during the design process, including going so far as to do video chats with the disabled person who was living out of state at the time in order to make sure we got the design perfectly dialed in to their needs and ensured structural integrity on what was a complicated remodel considering the age of the house and lack of standard structural design. They were efficient and professional every step of the way. The finished product met all of our needs and looked fantastic! Their crew was pleasant to work with and very skilled at their craft. We could not be more pleased with the results. They are absolutely worth the cost of getting it done right the first time instead of cutting corners and not being happy with the results.

Everyone at Rainbow was very professional and went above and beyond. Our designer was excellent, and worked to develop plans that reflected what we wanted. He also let us know when some of our ideas would result in greater than expected costs or other unforeseen consequences. Our contractor always checked on our project and checked in with us to be sure we were happy with progress and the work quality. The crews were all professional and respectful of our privacy and our home. The quality of their work was excellent. We did have a high turnover rate of crews due to the busy summer schedule at Rainbow. This resulted in delays and likely contributed to unexpected cost overruns. Our contractor worked diligently to help us cut other costs and he worked to trim costs in other areas. Overall, I was very satisfied with everyone at Rainbow.

Rainbow Valley is fabulous. My architect Alec Dakers, and the project manager, Andrew Dimitru, were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were as excited with the vision of the remodel as I was and the end result was more than I could have hoped for. I was doing a remodel of an older home and didn't want to change the character of the home. My end result was a beautiful enhancement of the house which added elegance but blended with the feel of the house. There was not a person who worked with the team who was not just as great as the two of them. All subcontractors were very genuinely nice people whom I had no problem welcoming into my home. The quality of work was exceptional. They were thorough and detailed, and I am very happy with the results. I had the kitchen, main bath, and the family room redone.I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Rainbow Valley Design & Construction did our kitchen remodel in the fall of 2014. The project came in within the projected budget and was completed on schedule. We are very pleased with the results. From design to execution, the Rainbow Valley folks and their subcontractors did fine work and were a pleasure to work with. Our kitchen had an existing cherry floor that needed to be protected during the demolition and rebuilding. After two months of being subjected to workers, heavy equipment, building materials and rainy weather, the floor was uncovered and unscathed. We especially appreciate RVDC's responsiveness in correcting or resolving the inevitable little problems that crop up during the month or two after the completion of a job.

From the start to completion of this project, Rainbow Valley was superb and professional. Every idea, decision and action was done with the highest skill possible. Since this is an older home, we especially appreciated their ability to respond to unanticipated developments. RV also made sure that we were involved in every design and materials decision, all along the way. Their staff, and sub-contractors, clearly understand what it's like to live in the midst of a construction project. They worked as quickly and cleanly as possible. The final project is a major addition to our home, and greatly appreciated. We will hire them again!

We had a great experience with our kitchen remodel. The Rainbow Valley team was creative at solving the problems of our old kitchen and helping us get what we wanted. They were very professional and well-organized and kept us informed throughout the process. All the work was done to the highest standard. We'll call them again when we have a similar project.

Rainbow Valley Designed and Built an addition to my house. They kept the costs within the bid price, maybe even a bit less and did quality high standard work. The project was completed in the time frame given, they only missed one day of work due to inclement weather. Scott, listened carefully to what I wanted in the design. If there were any problems we worked them out together. I would gladly hire them again. The finished product is better than I could have imagined.

I interviewed three design and construction companies before I settled on Rainbow Valley Design & Construction. They were not necessarily the most economical company, but I was most comfortable with their ideas and their process. In terms of personnel, the Rainbow Valley Designer listened to my ideas and worked with me to incorporate them. When the designer deviated from my original thoughts, it always turned out that his choices were correct. The Project Manager on the job kept the work going at a good pace and he was an excellent problem solver if there were difficulties. In one very difficult situation, the Project Manager negotiated what I felt was a very fair compromise. As for the workers and companies that completed the various aspects of the job, they were efficient, courteous and skillful. If I had another remodeling project in my home, I would return to Rainbow Valley to complete the job.

I have had the honor of working with Rainbow Valley Design and Construction on several home design, building, and remodeling projects for over twenty years. I trust Rainbow Valley.
