Denise helped us with a total redesign of our master bath plus help updating our kitchen and offered guidance as we shopped furniture for our family room. Not only is Denise a pleasure to work with, but she takes the time to understand what her clients want and offers options along the way to come up with the finished project. Denise has a great eye for color and space layout and made suggestions we’d never thought of. She was generous with her time and guided as we shopped for furniture, rugs, and offered expertise when we framed some family art. We are thrilled with our beautiful master bath with all new tiling, tub, vanities and fixtures. And our updated kitchen and living level have given our house new life! Could not be more pleased.

After a number of years of humming and hawing over redoing my house's interior design, I reached out to Denise to partner with me. I have known her for a number of years having seen her work in her own home among others. Denise and I worked up a plan for each room. We start with my overall likes and dislikes covering colors, patterns and furniture design. Each room, given its different purpose, had a different plan. I also had the house's interior re-painted. Denise was tireless, kind and patient in her effort to accomplish my goals. The house looks fantastic! We accomplished the goals with a mixture of online shopping and visits to several DC interior design and furniture stores. It was the perfect balance for me. My house is about 2,500 SQ/Ft and the project took about 3 months. She even helped me donate my older furniture to a wonderful young family getting started. It was a pleasure working her. She is a super talent and a person with grace.

Denise was a consummate professional. Her easy going style was comforting during a stressful process. Denise's artistic talents, eye for color and design helped make the project easy. She kept us within budget and was a delight to work with.

Denise McNally created a kitchen design as part of a whole-house remodeling project we recently completed. The kitchen is a dream come true. The layout is perfect and Denise's eye for that special something have given us a center island that is amazing. When at the kitchen cabinet showroom, Denise spotted a sample of gorgeous wood and asked whether it was available for the island top. The cabinet maker checked with the woodworker, explaining that it was reclaimed wood from a nearby train station built in 1899. Enough wood was, in fact, available, and we had the island top as well as the floating open shelves Denise designed made from this very special material. Denise's assistance in selecting the style of cabinetry, layout, and large pantry wall, as well as selecting the perfect tile, made the kitchen absolutely perfect. Denise's work included a detailed lighting plan and she suggested adding windows to flank the new professional range. They bring in so much gorgeous natural light and a view to our yard that we didn't have before this project. Our architect, who at my initial request had not made changes to the kitchen layout, was completely impressed by Denise's design, as was our general contractor and all the subs who worked on the project. The kitchen is the center of our open floor plan on the main level of our home, and thanks to Denise, it is absolutely perfect. Our project is complete and we love every inch of our magnificent kitchen.

Denise helped us renovate a bedroom for use as my husband's study. Since we didn't want to do any construction and had to work within the existing floor plan, it was a challenging job to find the right furniture layout that included a desk, filing cabinets, space for computer equipement, etc. Denise came up with a great layout that filled all the requirements selecting furniture that fit well with our design style. She understood our aesthetic and brought us beautiful choices for paint colors, flooring, seating, storage, and accessories. The room came together beautifully all while staying within our budget. It was a pleasure to work with the Denise.

Denise brought us several creative designs for a new living room fireplace surround and mantel that fit within our budget and time constraints. I found it very helpful when she took me to tile and stone shops to educate me about the choices and trade-offs. Once the fireplace surround and hearth was ordered, she designed three completely unique mantels from stock millwork that were all beautiful and helped us decide between eclectic, traditional and transitional or modern features we were hoping to synthesize with this focal point. It is amazingly beautiful and her craftsmen and carpenters did a beautiful job with the installation and finish work, within our budget and ahead of schedule!

With an ability to listen and an unerring eye, Denise McNally helped select striking but tasteful colors for our (until then) all white house. She brought to the project a wide knowledge of available brands and palettes and a strong instinct, but also endless patience, and the ability to make the rooms look like *my* vision, not hers. On my own, I knew I wanted lots of color and a few accent walls, but almost every room has a surface that runs into a hallway or some other room, so it was hard to know where one color should end a new one pick up. Harder still to find colors that would work with one another yet give each room character. Even a muted silver-grey for the living room or a "simple" blue for our son's room proved hard to choose. Denise helped narrow the choices to a harmonious set of hues, and pinpoint where each should go, so our house looks warm and stylish. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Denise helped us with our kitchen remodel. We had just bought an older row house with a galley kitchen and were looking to expand it. Denise came in and helped suggest a layout that we hadn't even been considering, yet from the moment she mentioned it was clearly the best way to utilize our space. It completely changed the direction of our remodel, for the better. She also helped us mock up sketches of what the space would look like and pick out all of the finishings from countertops, to backsplash, appliances and paint. She was particularly helpful picking out unique trimming or other decorative pieces that we would've never discovered on our own. We highly recommend her services!

Denise has helped me transform my home room by room! From a complete basement renovation to decorating living room, dining, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc. She is not only knowledgeable about soft furnishings but also has a good grasp of building materials and structural design of spaces. Denise has a great sense of style which she melds with her clients own style to create spaces that reflect the clients personality and life style rather than her own. She is practical and adventurous as well and knows how to find inexpensive treasures at flea markets and small town antique stores.

Time and time again - Denise has hit the nail on the head - blending my preferences with the right decor. She has done work for me on two of my homes and helped tremendously - particularly on the singularly most important piece of furniture in anyone's home - the perfect sofa!
