J. S. Brown Design has just finished redesigning my 25 year old house from top to bottom. This process has taken over a year and I never could have done this without Scott and June. I am so fortunate that they we available to come to southern California. They were involved in every aspect of this 6,000 square foot project from the exterior paint color and landscaping to combining 2 guest rooms into one second master suite. We did new kitchen, new bathrooms, new hardwood floors, new wall coverings new carpet and some new furniture. They repurposed a tv room downstairs near the pool which was rarely used into a cabana room with indoor outdoor carpet and fabrics that is now used every day and very grandchild "friendly". The furniture pieces that I loved were refinished or reupholstered. The artwork that I loved was reframed. This was never a problem. They worked well with every subcontractor...discussing lighting, how to lay the tile and stone and carpet, where to paint, where to paper. The subs were very impressed with their creativity and materials and these guys do lots of high end homes. J. S. Brown was respectful of my budget and design preferences. We love our new look of gray-beige with white and cream with Asian touches and lots of texture. It provides a peaceful background for our contemporary art.

JS Brown Assoc.; Scott was hired for Interior design work on our ultra modern house. Needed someone with excellent taste and knowledge of where to find the products needed for our house. Couldn't be more pleased with the results and the professionalism in carrying out the project, on budget and on time! I would highly recommend them for any Interior design work.

I have had Scott Brown of JSBrown Design help me remodel four houses. As a realtor, I see a lot of renovations, so my standards are high. Scott is simply brilliant--his eye for scale, balance, materials, finishes has amazed me during each of my projects. He also brings a calm, supportive manner which is vital during a remodel. He respects and meets budgets and deadlines, and often saved me a lot of expense by thoughtfully selecting finishes, fixtures. I would recommend him highly; one would be fortunate to work with him.

J.S.Brown Design was responsible for a wonderful reworking of our living room. They helped me to use items I already owned to a much greater effect, and to weed out some pieces that were not contributing to a cohesive look, and to find some new pieces that I absolutely love. I would give them the highest recommendation!

My home is the Tuscan home featured on Houzz and I was pleasantly surprised to see it! I wanted to let everyone know that Scott and June Brown were wonderful to work on building and designing our new home from start to finish. They provided wonderful detail to custom finishing and space planning. We highly recommend this design firm and give them an A+.

We recently purchased a 6850 sq ft foreclosure that was the victim of an original Miami Vice design on the interior while sitting in 10 acres of wooded NW forest on a river. Absolutely not a good combination! J.S. Brown Design 's two Principals were a fantastic find for us. Our General Contractor recommended them and they were the right people without question . Scott and June sat with us multiple times to understand our likes, took us to many houses to provide ideas, and translated our thoughts into greatI outcomes. We were impressed with their creativity, customer focus, and determination to provide a great design at a price we could afford. We were very pleased with them at each stage.

MODERNFAB worked with JS Brown Design on an outdoor living project for a client that included custom steel fire bowl, rain grates, cantilever bar table and circular steel deck system. JS Brown Design is a pleasure to work with through the entire process. Always a professional, very sensitive with material choices and practical with all levels involved from the individual component to the overall look and feel of the project. JS Brown Design know design from the interior to exterior, through and through!

We hired Scott to come listen to our ideas about building our ideal patio area. He listened to what our goals were and got to know our design aesthetics. He was easy to communicate with and gave us several options. In the end, he nailed it! We combined "found" items with contemporary items and the result was better than we imagined. Now, not only is our outdoor living/dining/grilling area more functual, it looks like an outdoor "showroom".... it is gorgeous, while being very livable.

I worked with Scott and June two years ago to update my 1990's bungalow style house. I am very pleased with the results and it was delightful working with them. They went beyond my expectations and stayed within my budget. I am now in the process of downsizing and Scott and June are designing a mid-century modern house for me on a challenging piece of property. We are in the beginning stages and it is coming together very nicely....it is also very exciting. I wouldn't even consider using anyone else.

J. S. Brown design ( June and Scott) were wonderful to work with when we moved into our new house. They provided excellent service and knowledge on everything from A to Z. Placing our furnishings, hanging our artwork ( in record time), providing a great assortment of sample fabrics for the many pieces of furniture they then scooted off to be reupholstered, sleuthing out and delivering the perfect architectural indoor plant, providing us with excellent contractors for wall papering two of our rooms, for building metal tables which work beautifully with the architecture of our home, and coming up with very innovative ideas for our bookshelves and display areas. Scott and June have a true talent and, importantly, listened to our ideas of what we wanted. Although we loved our house at first sight, the beauty of our finished home is,largely, due to them. Don't miss out!!!!
