Bencar Building Systems is an award-winning home remodeling company based in Wallingford, Connecticut. Founded in 1999, we’ve built our reputation on quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and exceptional care for our clients. As the second-generation owner of Bencar Building Systems, Cody Benson leads the company as Owner & Project Director. After earning a degree in Business Management from Southern Connecticut State University, Cody joined the company in 2012. He spent ten years working in the field, mastering carpentry, scheduling, and client collaboration before stepping into leadership. Today, he personally handles project estimating while overseeing planning, coordination, and execution. Under Cody’s leadership, we continue to build on our legacy as a trusted, family-owned remodeling company. Mark Benson, a California native, got his start in construction working alongside his uncle in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before moving to Connecticut, he worked as a project manager for a well-known design-build firm in Sonoma County. Today, Mark remains actively involved with Bencar, supervising projects on a part-time basis and offering the kind of hands-on experience that only comes from decades in the field. Nancy Benson, a Wallingford native, serves as our Operations Manager. A graduate of Lyman Hall High School, Nancy brings decades of administrative and operational experience from roles in both Connecticut and California. She continues to play a central role in our daily operations and in making sure our clients feel supported from start to finish. Client Manager Lisa Burns joined our team in 2021, bringing valuable experience from the banking and retail sectors. Lisa is committed to providing top-tier service, guiding our clients from the first meeting through project completion and beyond. Our project crews are highly skilled, experienced, and take great pride in their work. Greg Agro and Jerry Ferraro specialize in additions and bring deep knowledge across all aspects of remodeling. Evan Huber is a long-time team member and expert carpenter who works alongside Nick Velardi who has strong carpentry skills and keen attention to detail.
