NIR Plumbing

Greetings! My name is Nick Lopez, founder of NIR Plumbing Inc. I learned what it is to have an excellent work ethic as a ten year old boy working in my grandparents’ restaurant on the weekends, cleaning tables and assisting customers with requests. The lessons I learned there have stayed with me all these years. I worked at the restaurant until I was 16 years old. During that time I was also a news paper delivery boy. When I was 13 and 14 I took a break on my summer vacations and worked at my uncle’s welding shop. During these years, I also worked as my father’s apprentice doing plumbing and shortly after moved to Riverside for the prospect of working as a new construction residential plumber. Approaching this goal, I first took a year course at Associated Tech College in San Bernardino to learn plumbing codes, repairs, and sizing systems. From there I went to work for Inland Plumbing as an apprentice. Within a year I was offered a foreman position. I was installing gas systems, drainage, venting water services and had three employees under my direction. I learned a lot during my three years there and I attribute my plumbing foundation to really starting there. Following this, I went to work for another plumbing company, Executive Plumbing, where my plumbing experience grew to make me the plumber I am today. I was there many years and learned the importance of quality and the use of the right products and installations for longevity. While working for Executive Plumbing, I rose to the level of supervisor and learned the other end of plumbing, which is customer satisfaction. I believe first in honesty. This means executing a repair without taking short cuts. Whether it’s a common industry practice, it’s dishonest. Because I value truth, my company advises and corrects plumbing problems in a way that saves the customer money.
