Sarkinen Plumbing

Previous owner of the house paid for replacing all the plumbing throughout the house. After walking over the house noticed loose pipes coming out of the cabinetry and walls . And there is a knocking noise when the washing machine runs. Called them and asked them to take care of this. Two techs came out and take care of the loose pipes with a plastic insert around the pipes. They were unable to hear the knocking which was only noticed when the washing machine runs the hot water. They inspected the wahsing machine while I was showing the problems with the water lines being loose at the walls in the meantime the other tech tried to listen to the noise and laid up onto the top of the dryer which is not designed for a 250lbs person to lay on. This particular dryer was replaced before as it could not be balanced as the legs got deformed during transportation. I tried to explain that the noise can be noticed in the living room. But they just said it may have been the water lines being loose at the washing machine and put a ziptie on them. I said it doesn't sound like it would be the source of the noise. After that I could still hear it and over time I noticed the knocking nosie can be replicated by turning the hot water on and off in the master bathroom. Called them and the owner said the warranty is not transferable and only 1 year. Tech came out who was telling me the same thing and came up with a $2200 estimate. Which was more then the previous owner paid for the whole house plumbing in 2020. When I said it cost more than the whole house plumbing response was it would be like 7000. I don't make 3 times the amount I did in 2020 and I don't know who actually does. The issue is a result of a badly performed work and they have a policy of not teansfering the warranty. They drywall work was so terribly poorly done they didn't remove a fire alarm simplly spackled around it and textured over. There are holes everywhere where the old plumbing came out of the wall. Ome of the spicket was loose as a shirt s rew was used. All the water lines are missing insulation in the crawlspace and they are not routed properly. Stay away from this company they do an absolute garbage quality of work which they don't intend to stand by. I really appreciated when they came out the first time to try to correct the issues, eventhough it felt very rushed. The second time was a huge dissapointment when they tell me I have to pay $700 just to fix a loose pipe that shouldn't be loose to begin with and 1500 for cutting out the drywall and patch it back. Also later found the receipt which stated they did the new water heater installation and it said in the notes thay it meats the minimal code requirements the inspetor found the house was mot meeting the requirement as it was missing an expansion tank and an overflow valve. Had to pay 500 for someone to install this.

Sarkinen is amazing. They are professional in every way and I think they are the best plumbers I’ve ever dealt with. We’ve done a lot of remodeling and I wish I’d had them from the get go. They provide clear directions and details about the work they are doing and they are always willing to help you understand the current plumbing issues (we have an older home) and how to update. I wouldn’t use anyone else.
