Star Mechanical (Edm) Ltd

Dealing with this company has unfortunately been an absolute nightmare. We have been fighting to get our AC unit installed for months. When we started our home build, the AC unit was included in those plans. We started the process of building in October of 2020. We took possession of our home in December of 2021, at which point the AC wasn’t installed due to the weather. We were told that it would be installed in the early spring. Once the weather got warmer we started inquiring about having it installed and we have been given numerous different dates about when it will be done. It was supposed to be installed June 15th, but we were told that it was “supposed to rain” (it didn’t rain that day) so they had to cancel. We were then given the date of June 21st. The installer showed up, told us that the dispatch had given him the wrong information and didn’t tell him that it was a full install. He told us he would be back on June 22nd. He came back on June 22nd (during a storm), installed the unit onto the side of our house, but said that he could not complete the electrical work. He promised to return on June 23rd to do the electrical work. Today we get a call that he won’t be coming because there is a kink in the copper line, and he doesn’t like how muddy it is on the side of our house. We have been rebooked once again. Now they are supposed to come Thursday June 30th. When I spoke to dispatch they said that the people who did the siding probably caused the damage to the copper line. My house is currently sitting at 24.5 degrees and has gotten as high as 26 degrees. I am seven months pregnant and have a medical condition. I also have a 5 year-old, 4 year-old, and 2 year-old that are subjected to the heat. The ONLY reason that we are using Star Mechanical at this point is because of the contract with the home builder. We are essentially trapped into working with them. This company is unreliable, unapologetic, and unprofessional.

Working with Star Mechanical has been a great experience for us. We are a custom home builder and Star has worked hard to make our project's a success. Their office and field staff are both knowledgeable and professional.
