Backyard Pod

Like many families at the outset of the pandemic, we were juggling school-age children with the demands of work from a fully remote stance. As a web developer, my output tends to come in spurts requiring hours of uninterrupted concentration. As it became increasingly apparent that, even after the pandemic, we were likely to spend much more time working from home than we previously did, I genuinely didn’t know what I was going to do to preserve my productivity. At first, my wife and I worked with a contractor we had used several times to assemble a quote for a detached office—After months of planning, the outcome was so cost prohibitive that we thought we would have to abandon the idea. We wanted something more stylish and sturdy than a big box store shed, but we simply didn’t have the budget to effectively build a new house in our backyard. By fantastic providence for us, we discovered the local Backyard Pod team. After a visit with Tuan, we realized we were in complete lockstep with his team—the pod offered everything we wanted and needed, and as he invited us into his own backyard to look at the product, we could not believe how attractive the building was. The cost was similar to some of the prefabricated sheds we found earlier in our research, but the output looked far more “design build” than manufactured structure. We jumped on the opportunity to work with Backyard Pod and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. It has upgraded the entire look of our property and our family life has thrived as everyone benefits from the quiet of this beautiful little structure in our backyard.
