I'm hesitant to write this as the threats have been rolling in from Carrie and her husband Alan.
Long story (kind of) short- new construction home closed in January 2021, she had been chosen from the builder to install all countertops, sinks, etc.. it's still incomplete.
Upon move in, it was a nightmare - she
chose to blame the builder and subs for ruining her work (of course she wouldn't ever tell them that.. that's just for the client to hear). The quality is horrific.. but that's not even the worst part.
She is a creative genius with excuses. But as years pass I don't believe I should still have missing areas and incomplete jobs. Polite back and forth texts for 1.5 years (!!!) until I finally asked her to schedule through my attorney, made it clear that I'm not coming after her.. that this back and forth has just been too time consuming on my end. Eventually she chose a day and time... and cancelled of course.
2 weeks later she sent her guys, and what a
thrill it was to have them finally install a shelf (the only item attempted that day, although she assured full completion of remaining jobs.)
The bottom line is sad…. this woman is clearly going through something. Her staff happen to be nice as can be - a real pleasure when I saw them on this visit 20 months post-closing.
The final twists happen as my attorney is closing in...
so she's now emailing them incessantly that I'm
harassing her. Me... the guy that hired the attorney all due to lack of time to spend on this.
It then shifts to an accusation of not paying her (the builder paid all, and I paid upcharges).. meanwhile no attention where it belongs on missing areas without stone - not to mention some major cosmetic issues throughout.
There's no pride in the job here, but even worse
there's no pride even in one's self.
(There is no project completion date, they have no intention or motivation to complete - they were paid years ago)
