Fama Custom Tile

We are greatly disappointed by how you left the job unfinished. We had to call you multiple times to get the job done and after numerous promises, you still never showed up to complete the bathroom. We gave you many chances to fulfill your promises and complete the job, but we had to hire another contractor to do the job you were supposed to complete. The job is done now and we hope no one else has to go through such a terrible time dealing with you or your office.

We hired Fama Custom Tile (Abraham Flores and his father Abraham Flores Sr., California license #650444) to install all of the tile and countertops in our approx. 2500 sq ft home (new construction). The performance was abysmal. Though they do have a California license, they lied to us that they were certified to install the chosen countertop material. As a result, when 3 of the 6 countertops in the house cracked after install and prior to occupancy permit, Fama was unable to get them replaced by Cosentino and unable to repair the damage. We had already paid the $40,000+ contract and no refund or offset was offered by Fama. With respect to the tile work, one of the showers had the incorrect tile installed, and in another the prep work for planned teak floor showers was incorrectly done costing time and money -- ultimately someone else needed to be hired to rip out their work and re-do it (as Fama refused to do it themselves). Even before the issues with their finish product, their commitment to completing any phase of the project on time was non existent. This was during 2020-2021 (COVID) but multiple promises were broken with regard to when they would show up and work, etc. We are entering litigation and as of this writing (July 2021) they had not contacted us to reach an amicable settlement. I would not recommend them to anyone in the South Bay.
