Beechworth Windows

I had Beechworth windows installed last November and have had nothing but problems with them since. It is nearly 9 months later and I still have problems. These windows are wood on the inside and fiberglass outside. First problem noted was leaks. Nearly all of them had leaks, mostly from the bottom of the double hung windows. They are poorly manufactured, the bottom of the double hung windows have a rubber gasket strip that is slid into a groove on the bottom. The gasket is supposed to contact the windowsill to be the first line of defense against outside air. These gaskets did not come in contact with the sill in a number of places and the ends of the gasket curled up when the window was shut. During a very cold spell in December, I had condensation at the bottom of several windows and actually had ice on the inside of one window at the bottom. Beechworth sent massive supplies to my house without warning, looked like enough to completely rebuild all of the windows. The only thing the Beechworth employee used was a box that only had replacement gaskets in it. He replaced all of the gaskets, but did not solve the leaking problems. Then the installer came out to work on them and the guy trimmed the gaskets so they didn't curl up on the ends and at first didn’t have any idea how to fix the gaps. He decided that he could pry the gaskets partway out of the groove they were in to make them contact the windowsill and did that on many of the windows. I didn’t consider that a reasonable fix. Other problems I've had include one triple window in my living room was so badly put together that a Beechworth employee had to rebuild the bottom edge because the wood sections didn't fit together right. Also, and my current problem is my sliding windows. When the weather started warming up, two of them began to work hard. Beechworth had to come out and work on them and did a partial rebuild of my living room window. Later, the third slider then started working harder and screeched when you shut it. Beechworth decided to replace the entire window instead of working on it (I think they got tired of coming to my house to work on problems). The installer installed the replacement window which works worse than the one they replaced. I told the installers about the problem before they left and after looking at it, decided they didn't know what to do about it, so they said they would have someone contact me. That never happened and I had to call them two weeks later. They sent a manager out and I told him I was fed up with these windows. He agreed that the slider needed work. I also mentioned that I didn’t like the “fix” they did on the double hung windows, prying the gaskets part way out to close the gaps. He said that was a normal tweaking that they do on windows. That was over a week ago and I haven't heard back from them since.

We removed 4 2-wide Builder Grade vinyl casement windows and installed 4 2-wide Beechworth casement windows. The windows are high quality and were installed without any issues.

Bethany and her team coordinated with our installation department to strategically visit multiple work sites over a 2 day period for the purpose of capturing video footage, along with interviews of our customers and the owner of our company. She and her team were highly professional, organized and knowledgeable with regards to all aspects of the project. Bethany was instrumental in producing, staging, and conducting the interviews while her camera crew worked deftly on all the technicalities of the shoot.
