Drapery Height

Take it to the top. Many people are worried about that space in between from the top of the window to the ceiling. The general rule is if there's at least 12" you should split it and go in the middle somewhere. These pics show some great reasons why it's ok to to go the top.

The wall colour is so light you don't notice the empty space above the window that some home owners would be concerned about.

If the drapery were to be lower it would hinder the look of the cool transoms at the top, this way they stand out as a feature and the drapery panels give the room height.

Not much room above the window so taking the drapery to the ceiling is fitting.

Even though the blind is inset, the drapery to the ceiling works well in this space.

The fireplace wall goes to the top and so the drapery looks great going there also.
