I was intimidated at first about the idea of hiring a designer to help with my small bathroom remodel. I thought maybe design services would be too expensive and my house wasn’t fancy or special enough. I found Judith to be very personable and approachable. I especially appreciated that she was upfront about her (reasonable) rates and the services she provides. She did a great job helping me realize the vision I had for my small bathroom. I’m very happy with the results. She suggested things I wouldn’t have thought of that improved the flow and functionality of the space. Working with her took a lot of the stress and decision fatigue out of the process for me. She had specific guidance on sizes and products to use based on my space and style. But she was also great at listening to my feedback and then making changes to the plan. I hope to use her services again soon for a future kitchen remodel.

I hired Judith to design a new master bathroom in my condo. She lives in my Seattle neighborhood and even gave me a discount for being local! We began just before Covid hit, so it was a lengthy process, but it eventually it got done and the result is stunning. She recommended a trusted contractor and kept everyone on task. I absolutely will recommend her as a designer. I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted and she facilitated the whole project and took care of the minutiae I didn’t want to. Judith has helped us with two projects in our home, the design of the kitchen and the furnishing of the entire residence. We initially used Judith to work through design issues with the kitchen layout. The architect's plan did not reflect our need for an open, functional dream space. We were under construction and her knowledge was invaluable. When we were furnishing our rebuilt home, Judith worked her magic with interior design. She helped us with furniture selection, material and color choices, and layout (ensuring all our treasures fit our space in the best possible way). The standout piece in our home is a sofa table that she designed and located a company that could fabricate the metal and wood surfaces. The space is truly reflective of our tastes and life style. It was a pleasure to work with Judith and we are fortunate to enjoy her design each and every day.

When faced with choosing decisions for our kitchen remodel I went into analysis paralysis and Judith came to my rescue. Together we worked the layout, material selections and lighting plans over 6+ months. We did almost all the work ourselves and she is wonderfully patient throughout. We added her suggested huge bay window and it was a stroke of genius. From there everything fell into place. We achieved more light, more counterspace, more storage and warmed up a small boxy space with woods and colorful accents. Judy was an amazing asset in our kitchen design. She provided incredible guidance through the process of developing a functional and beautiful space that is the center of our home. Although we presented some challenges, such as building in a distant location, which she had not visited and doing some of the work ourselves, Judy was still able to work with us. We met several times to discuss the overall layout as well as specifics such at light fixtures and outlet placement. Throughout the process, she was able to ascertain our needs and create a design that exceeded our desires. We truly enjoyed working with Judy. Judith's' involvement in freshening up of our Yarrow Point home and now a major remodel of our Queen Anne home has guaranteed a 5 star rating. Judith worked with our builder and architect throughout the remodel process; in particular the design of 3 new bathrooms. All fixtures, tile choices and layout design as well as all fixtures. Very easy to work with and a trusted partner in choosing furniture that fit the scale of our new home; both new and old. She designed all new window coverings, chose new paint colors and lighting. No job is to small for her; assisting in choosing bath towels, accessories and staging our new spaces (w/ items we already owned ).

Judith was exactly the designer we needed for a tiny kitchen, limited square footage, and a limited budget. Never having done a home remodel before, she held our hands through every step and made sure each piece was what we wanted. She gave thorough consideration to every component of the design and transformed our dark, awkward tiny kitchen into a bright, beautiful and highly efficient place in our home. Now, we LOVE to be in the kitchen! Judith is wonderful to work with and would hire her again in a heartbeat.

When our small nonprofit needed to do a refresh of our 17-year-old office, we were privileged to have Judith share her considerable talents with us. We hired Judith to help us remodel our kitchen. She helped us choose the counter top, flooring and window shade. She also helped us find a white over the stove range hood which was not easy. We were very pleased with all the choices she helped us make. Our job was small and we were unable to find a contractor that was willing to do the work. Judith helped out greatly in this respect. She found the counter top installer, recommended a really great floor guy and the company that provided the window shade. Her help was invaluable to our project and I would highly recommend her services!

Judith has an amazing eye for design. She offers honest opinions and timely responses (she talked me out of a few decisions that I would have later regretted). She helped me turn my little, outdated kitchen into a beautiful, bright and current kitchen that I just absolutely LOVE.

Judith was wonderful to work with, and I'm so glad we chose to do so in remodeling our kitchen and updating our dining room. Having never done a renovation project before, she took me step by step through the process (from choosing countertops, then on. to backsplash etc) so it would not be too overwhelming. She narrowed down choices after learning my taste and budget, but also very much wanted me to have autonomy in selecting all of the final finishes and products. She has impeccable taste, was easy to communicate with, and readily available with questions or for appointments. We intend to work with her next on refinishing our living and family rooms!

Our family of three moved to a new construction townhouse in September 2016 with our then 6 year old son. Starting with white walls, no appliances, and no window coverings was overwhelming to us as a full-time working parents who don't like to shop. Judith's expertise saved us so much time! She laid out the furniture we needed on a floor plan, narrowed down the appliance choices, and selected the window treatments with our input. Our budget didn't allow us to buy a new house and fully furnish it all at once. Judith has been super flexible by letting us prioritize which rooms or furniture pieces to focus on to stay within our budget. As we have more money to spend on the house, we contact Judith to help us with the next room or next part of our project. Judith is great!

The planning and remodel of my master bath with a tall sloping ceiling and a triangle window was a journey. I knew there was great potential, but my design instincts are limited. Based upon a colleague's recommendation, I contracted with Judith for an initial consultation and later, for a more detailed plan that I used to identify and work with contractors. Judith was astute and listened to my many questions about modifying the bathroom layout, tying in a color scheme to the rest of the house, and how to handle the tall sloping ceilings. We also met at a tile showroom where she gave me some general guidelines to selecting the tile color scheme which really increased my confidence in tile selection. She also came up with a stunning cove lighting solution for the sloped ceiling which highlights the uniqueness of the room. I was initially worried about "breaking the budget", but working with Judith as an independent designer and then hiring/coordinating contractors for the phases of the project was 1/3 to 1/2 the cost working previous estimates for design build companies. Judith offers her clients discounts on quality materials (ie tile, vanities) through various wholesalers. Her calm and caring persona made the uncertainty of remodeling much easier!

Judith started by listening intently to us, then posed the questions / decisions we hadn't thought of, and applied her creative expertise while leaving us the latitude for the final details. We gutted a 1949 bathroom looking for only 3 things - make small seem big, make it classy and keep it uncluttered. The monuments chosen were a wall hung vanity, a wall hung toilet (in- wall tank system), and a cantilevered shower seat; all 3 "open up" the room a bit. The large sink mirror, polished tile from top to bottom, full glass shower door and panel, a full length bi-fold wardrobe mirror for the custom cabinet (open towel shelving above it) and chrome fixtures throughout provide a lot of class, open area and reflection, making small seem big. To unclutter, the room lighting is within the sink mirror, the electrical outlets/fan switch are on the far side of the vanity next to the TP holder, another electrical outlet and floor tile heater thermostat are hidden inside the vanity, and the towel racks and door stop are on the back side of the door. All of these are not in sight when you enter the room. Even the large 12 x 24 tiles were chosen to minimize the sight of grout lines while a tile insert shower drain was used to avoid a chrome grid drain, both considered "tile clutter" to us. She even provided guidance on the tile layout / orientation. Selecting Judith was the best design decision we made. She was available within our schedule, accompanied us at the showrooms, always followed up on her word, and made our dream come true. You're going to love your results too !

Judith expertly navigated our family through a time sensitive kitchen remodel. With our first baby on the way, we needed a complete and expedited update to our custom kitchen. She helped us think through several options in order to come up with multiple solutions. When our primary pick literally fell apart in front of us, we had a well-developed backup plan to pivot to in order to finish our new kitchen before our baby arrived.

As an avid, and capable DIY couple, we find it hard to find pros willing to work with us, as egos get in the way. Judy was AWESOME! She listened to our vision, connected the dots we could not, and added the cherry on top, elevating our kitchen to a professional level we had wanted but couldn't seem to get. She's creative, professional a good listener and great to work with! I highly recommend her, and will be taking her shopping for all my future projects!

Judith helped accomplish what we needed and what we wanted in our family room. It's the room we use the most in our home and we wanted our furnishings comfortable but also beautiful. Judith came to our home, I explained what we were looking to do which was to get a lot of seating space in a relatively small area and she figured it out. She helped us pick a design well suited to the style of our home in every detail, color, size and comfort. One of the most admirable qualities of working with Judith was that she listened to what we wanted and she heard us. Because she is a professional, I really stepped back and let her have at it. Our room is beautiful and exactly as we imagined it. Judith also understands the word budget. She gave us a quote and that was the price we paid. This was our first experience with a major remodel to our home. Without the help of Judy the remodeling of our kitchen would have been difficult and very stressful. She came up with ideas that incorporated our vision which made the kitchen work beautifully with our home. The lighting layout turned out perfectly. We’re so happy with our new kitchen that Judy designed! It is better than we dreamed it could be. Judy listened to all of our wants and needs for the kitchen and did a masterful job of helping to pull together all of the pieces to turn it into something even better than we expected. We would have been totally overwhelmed with the choices we had to make in remaking our kitchen. Judy helped guide us in selecting everything from a contractor to layout of the kitchen to lighting to counter tops to cabinets to tiles to sinks and faucets - the list could go on and on. She also made some great suggestions for things that we had not even been considering, the best of which was her suggestion for expanding the main window in our kitchen, which now is the highlight of our new kitchen. Judy also worked very closely with the contractor and subcontractors to ensure that her designs were implemented as intended, or if changes were needed, to ensure that the changes met with the aesthetic that we were wanting to achieve. We always felt very comfortable that Judy and the contractor were working as a team to create the kitchen that we wanted. I would highly recommend Judy to anyone wanting to take on a similar project. Her great taste, fantastic design ideas, attention to detail, and dedication to the project will definitely serve you well.

Judy provided us with exactly what we needed in a professional designer. Her strengths are many, but one which was greatly appreciated was her ability to target our desire to create a kitchen which fit the era of the home and still be timeless in it's function and aesthetic. She filtered the endless options for counter tops, cabinets, hardware, lighting, window treatments etc., using options within our budget to a reasonable amount so it was actually a pleasure to chose and not overwhelming or frustrating. In addition, she would go out of her way to be present when the contractor or sub contractor needed onsite decisions made. Judy keeped copious notes during meetings with us and our contractor, and communicated regularly. A joy to work with, Judy is creative but designs to fit you! Just having downsized I was struggling with how to fit everything in. Judy created a workable floor plan, plus designed space on a dining room wall to display art that was challenging, in a small space, to hang separately. She paid attention to my needs, provided inspiration and worked within my budget. We used Judith for a major re-model of our kitchen/family room and couldn't be happier with the results.
