This is the third time we have had Sorkiew do work at our house and we continue to be very impressed by craftsmanship. 10 years ago he we built our entire staircase. He came a couple times to discuss various styles with us and then did an incredible job. Last year, he installed laminate in our basement (we went with his recommended colour) which looks beautiful and last month he re-sanded our main floor. Sorkiew provides top customer service. He is very knowledgable and walks through all options. He is very meticulous in his work. He cleans up beautifully afterwards. We would highly recommend Sorkiew.

We couldn't be happier with the transformation of our home! Sorkiew did an incredible job refinishing our hardwood floors on the entire first level of our home, including our kitchen. He was careful and attentive to our kitchen cabinets, even removing the lower trim and drawers to ensure a seamless, cohesive finish. He overhauled our staircase, converting it from old carpet to stunning hardwood with a brand-new wood railing and iron spindles. The quality of Sorkiew’s work is outstanding! When we lived in Orleans, at the recommendation of our real estate agent, we hired A Plus Flooring to redo our staircase. It went from rug-covered on plywood steps to a beautiful winding staircase with oak steps. The craftsmanship was outstanding! We moved to Ottawa and the staircase in our new to us home needed updating. Once again, we called A Plus Flooring to do its magic. Rails and spindles were disassembled and new stain was applied on the railing. The spindles were painted white and the stairs were repaired and stained. We had 3 landings and 29 steps and another beautiful staircase. Later we needed some advice regarding a repair of one of the bedroom floors. We called Sorkiew and he was very helpful in finding a solution to our problem. Thanks to his professional and experienced recommendations, our project was a success. Sorkiew is dependable, professional and a real craftsman. He delivers a beautiful and quality end product. We would definitely recommend him for all your hardwood flooring needs.

He carefully explained all our options, educated us on all the cost-benefit tradeoffs for each option, detailed every choice with the associated cost in his quote, gave us a lot of flexibility and much-appreciated guidance when making our design choices and executed the project impeccably. After visiting our home and listening to what we wanted done Sergio explained everything about the job. We wanted 2 walnut hardwood floors sanded and refinished. He forwarded us a well laid out contract that gave us the opportunity to chose the options that were discussed during his visit. Sergio and his helper were at our home for 3 days and always arrived on time and ready to work.They were always very professional, respectful and friendly. I can't say enough good things about Sorkiew's work. He refinished our hardwood oak floors, removing a very stubborn dark finish and revealing a beautiful natural white oak finish. He always showed up on time, and finished the work when he said he would. He always had a smile and was very informative about the process. He really knows his stuff. He's been in the business a long time, so I guess that's no surprise. I can't recommend his work enough. The finish is beyond my expectations and I get compliments on my floors all the time now.
