My husband and I worked with Bill to do create a plan for a remodel and addition to a home that had been in our family for many decades. We found Bill's design approach to be creative, thoughtful and insightful. Bill took our vision for the project into consideration and created a concept and finished project that far exceeded our expectations. The result is a warm, beautiful home that relates to the natural surroundings and honors the best of the original structure with a timeless design. Bill's designs are beautiful, approachable and attainable. Bill took what is often a stress filled process and instead created a collaboration filled with integrity, respect and creative solutions. Bill Mackey is an extremely talented architect. He is also a real gentleman and very easy to work with. We had specific desires and ideas which he completely incorporated in the design of our home, but enhanced in many creative ways, and we stayed within budget! We had a small lot that incorporated a pool, with an incredible view of downtown Dallas. Bill put most of our living space on the 2nd floor so the skyline was seen from every room. The house was beautiful, contemporary, clean & crisp, but very warm and livable.

I hired bill mackey to design and build my cabin in New Mexico. He was so easy to work with -- I had never built anything else before! He made it easy, walking me though the process, even being the liaison between myself and the builder. Mackey's design was absolutely beautiful -- turning out even more gorgeous than I could have ever expected. I highly recommend bill mackey. He has vision, can work with what's in your head, and turn it into an amazing reality.

My husband and I have used Bill both as an architect for a deck project at our cabin in Red River and also as a project manager to get other remodeling projects completed when we were unable to be there ourselves. He did a wonderful job on the redesign of our large deck and has found and managed responsible and proficient tradesmen that have helped us take care of a major interior updating project. Bill Mackey worked with me on three separate remodeling projects for my home, a 1930s bungalow, in the Lakewood area of Dallas, Texas. The first involved creating an outdoor living space by replacing a window with French doors, designing an overhang, adding a deck, pergola and privacy wall. The second was a complete remodeling of the kitchen and upgrading of the bathroom. The third involved redesigning a front screen porch. All three experiences were delightful, successful collaborations. Bill's starting place was to find out exactly what I had in mind. Bill & I redid an old mountain log cabin built in l940 in New Mexico. It took awhile almost 2 years and was quite the project start to finish but it turned out amazing. It is quite the showplace of the area now. A loving restoration project really.
