We were so blessed to have worked with Roy and his wonderful team of professionals to make our kitchen renovation run smoothly and timely from start to finish, especially during an untimely trying time in our life. Since we moved into our starter home in 1980, it became apparent it would be our forever home. We’d been planning since then to do a total renovation of our tiny 1965 kitchen, but there were so many obstacles. In the 80's, we updated it some, but it just wasn’t working anymore, and being situated in the middle of the house posed a huge design challenge affecting 4 rooms. We thought we were stuck with the original layout, but Roy gave us three options, and the third one KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF and gave us a kitchen we never thought could be possible. The Bryhn team was such a pleasure to work with. Randy answered all our questions and kept things running smoothly and on time. Rena helped us pull everything together with color and design elements to match our vision for the new space, and we are so grateful for all her suggestions. The Crew, what can we say? Rob, Chris, Dane, and David—from demolition to finish product—what a great job! They took what was on paper and made it a reality with a professional eye for every detail. True artists of the trade. We now have the kitchen we’ve always envisioned but didn’t think was possible, and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! What a transformation! I was extremely happy with the renovation that was done by Bryhn. The design process was very interactive and I was able to work with Roy to create the ideal layout for my ranch home. At the start, we took the right amount of time to settle on a plan and make appliance and material choices. The project team was reliable, professional, creative and problem solvers. Appreciated all of the suggestions to spend the money where it would get the biggest payoff. We did a completely new kitchen, primary bath and walk in closet as well as changes to the outside, a patio in the back and raising the ceiling in the living room. I was kept informed during every step and felt very good about the subcontractors that worked on the job. I am very happy with my home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bryhn to other homeowners.

Roy, Ryan and Bill were great to work with. Their entire team was knowledgeable, respectful and very professional. They identified the source of my problem and fixed it. The team did excellent work and was very clean when working inside the house and everything turned out perfect. I would highly recommend using them.

We have done 2 big projects in our house with Bryhn Design/Build. A total kitchen remodel a while back and more recently both upstairs bathrooms and our laundry room. For both projects the whole process was excellent. The design phase and the ability to make material and appliance choices to fit our budget was very interactive so that we got exactly what we wanted. Bill was our foreman on both projects and he was always ready to stop by to talk over the progress and address any questions or concerns we had. They have a good relationship with their subs as even years apart, they used the same electrician. What also stands out is that Roy stands by the work. When the bathrooms were being done, he made sure to touch up some minor wear and tear in the kitchen years after completing that project. A few weeks ago I ran into him and he again offered to stop by if we had any issues in either the kitchen or bathroom. All in all, a company that delivers!

Roy and Bill were great to deal with. Roy spent the time needed to give us proposed plans, suggested things we didn't think of and a solid estimate. His contract was thorough and he finished the work on time and on budget as was agreed upon in the contract. I would highly recommend him and would use him again.

We did a renovation project with another contractor 18 years ago and had a terrible experience so we were cautious this time around when we researched putting on an addition and updating our interior. From the beginning, we felt very comfortable with Roy and loved all of his ideas and suggestions to get the most 'bang for our buck'. Everyone who was part of the crew (including each sub-contractor) was extremely skilled, respectful, friendly and conscientious. They kept our house as neat as possible during our extensive remodel. We were extremely happy with Bryhn and would recommend them without hesitation!

Roy has done multiple projects for us over the years - windows & siding, kitchen remodel, 2 bathroom remodels, study and mud room. He is extremely knowledgable; the quality of his work is great; he meets deadlines and communicates openly and honestly if there are any changes to the budget. Started working with Bryhn Design/Build 11 years ago on a large kitchen/dining room renovation, and have hired them for three projects since then, including this year's, an extensive bathroom/laundry area renovation. Knowledgeable advice during the planning phase, excellent workmanship, incredible attention to detail, friendly and approachable. They keep working at it until you're satisfied -- this project went on a bit longer than I had anticipated -- but in the end I far prefer having things the way they should be.

Roy and his team did a great job on my remodel in Princeton. From dealing with the HOA and the town, neighbors and stores below our apartment, Roy managed all of these constituents beautifully. As an out of town client, I really appreciated the software they used to keep me updated and able to monitor the expenses of the project. Excellent job!

LOVE Bryhn Design Build, the entire team! They worked on a kitchen/family room, remodel that has changed the entire look of the house. They are true craftsmen and professional contractors. Their designer, Jeanette Coulter was instrumental in helping us bring our styles and current furniture into the newly remodeled space. The patience of the team was remarkable. They were always willing to show and explain the different options and assist us in making the best and practical decisions for our space and budget. Always allowing us time to make difficult, final decisions. Professionals that arrive at the scheduled time and leave the job site neat and organized as if they weren't even there EVERYDAY! They were fine that we hired our own painter and tiler for the project, and also worked well with them. Roy has great suggestions and visions from his years of experience with different projects and he and Jeanette work so well together, complimenting each other’s ideas. Our house was torn apart down to studs, but the project was a great experience and the finished look is beautiful. Looking forward to our next project with them

Bryhn Builders designed a beamed ceiling for my family room. From the initial design stage with Roy to the daily details and craftsmanship of Bill and Bill, I couldn't have been happier. My opinions were valued, my home was treated with respect, both Bills' were friendly and professional and everything was done in a timely manner. The actual craftsmanship of the project was the best I've ever seen. Highly recommended!

My husband and myself hired Roy Bryhn's company on the recommendation of our designer. I can't say enough about his work and workers. He handled all the permits for us, gave us a realistic final date with a calendar we could review from week to week as the work progressed. More importantly the work is impeccable! and Roy is the most honest builder I have ever dealt with. He was very easy to work with and listened to every ideal I had. Some builders dismiss the wife! The foreman that handled our job is amazing. Every detail was done, right down to filing every nail hole. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. The cost of the project went over because I kept adding on. This happened because his work was so high class, I knew it would be done correctly. We give this company 5+ stars. P.S. the designer that recommended Roy is Jeannett Coulter, she is amazing too.

The service rendered was more than the cost because it was highly professional responsive and spec perfect. In additions little things that was missing in planning once uncovered were added corrected or modified with cost adjustment that was fair and in some cases without charge. I wish I had photo to show the before and after but that could not capture the character and personality of Rob and Bob.

I have worked as a lighting designer and supplier for Roy at Bryhn Design Build and have always found he and his crew to be extremely creative and efficient. Bryhn Design/Build was our builder of choice for a complete kitchen remodel that grew to include an adjacent handicapped accessible bathroom and two bathroom remodels on a second floor. We were very pleased with all aspects of the projects. Roy and his team did a wonderful job and the new house is awesome! The subcontractors were all excellent and the main contractor was so respectful and answered all of our questions. They are local and kept to their schedule and the plans. Roy designed within our budget and really listened to all of our requests. We really can't think of anything we would have done differently except do it several years sooner! We would highly recommend his team and will have him back if we can find anything else in the house that we can remodel! They came highly recommended by a friend and they left with our gratitude and respect! Thanks again Roy, Bill, Jeanette and everyone else that worked on the project!

Having seen renovations completed by Bryhn Design/Build, I knew who I wanted to do the work when my husband and I decided it was time to update our 1950's home. The project was fairly extensive - gutting 5 rooms of our home and recreating the floor plan. Removing a wall between the dining room and kitchen and moving and enlarging a bathroom were a part of the process. 5 rooms were gutted. Roy Bryhn listened to what we were looking for and created plans that were better than I had envisioned. The open kitchen/dining room and new bathroom are beautiful, as is the whole finished project! I love my "new" house! The whole renovation was completed with no problems or horror stories that many people experience. I highly recommend Bryhn Design/Build!

We have acquired the services of Bryhn Design/Build on a couple of occasions. We have on both occasions received high quality and timely service with attention to detail. On top of all this, we got a fair price quoted and the quote hored. I would hire this firm without any hesitation or any reservation, shoul I need their services again.

It was a real pleasure working with Roy Brhyn of Bryhn Design Build. From the very start of designing our addition he was very accommodating. We had an initial consultation at our home to discuss the scope of the project, he never rushed, he spent a lot of time with us listening to our ideas and concerns. He spent several hours with us on the follow up visit, he hooked his computer up to our large screen tv and we went through the design changing it on the fly until we were completely satisfied with the results again he was very patient and very open to all of our suggestions and worked hard to try to incorporate them into the design. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of building practices. He's very up to date on new innovation but is skeptical, he likes to stay with tried and true methods which is a good thing. We opted to go with different building practices and materials than he is used to. We used ICF for the basement walls with the fast foot option. It was the first time Roy had used this method. He was on site every day of the installation with his tool belt on working to insure that in the end it came out perfect. When I did call Roy with a couple of concerns regarding framing he came over immediately, I think it was around 6:30 pm. He grabbed some of the tools I had laying around and made adjustments right then. I don't think you will find another contractor who would do that. I am a diehard DIYer and opted to have him just build the shell. I am doing all the finish work myself. Roy has been very helpful in this phase as well recommending some good contractors and passing along some helpful advice and some good ideas. You can't go wrong with Bryhn Design Build, Roy will give you what you want on time and on budget. He did for me. Roy was recommended to me by a coworker who had gotten an estimate from him for a mother in law suite. He opted to go with a cheaper bid. He regrets that decision. It ended up costing him more than Roy had quoted and he had lots of headaches and issues with the contractor along the way. Take my advice even if Roy's bid is a little higher in the end you will have a better finished project and less aggravation. A Big Thanks Roy!

The Bryhn company designed and executed a complete bathroom and walk-in closet makeover. The result is elegant and practicable. The project was supervised by Roy Bryhn, who is talented, courteous, and fair. His workmen were pleasant and skillful. You cannot do better than to work with his company: the costs, though considerable, were laid out in advance and justified, The ratio cost/quality was appropriate. In need of a similar project I would have no hesitation in returning to Bryhn Design/Build. What was especially gratifying was that when I felt that certain details needed adjustment, even *years* after the completion of the project. Roy Bryhn did not hesitate to address them. Highest recommendation!

Roy Bryhn renovated every area of my home over a number of years. I never considered using anyone else. From fine, artistic woodwork and tile design to a whole new kitchen and master bath, he and his team can do it all. He's trustworthy, dependable, and skilled -- with great attention to detail. He patiently works through materials choices and always follows through on adjustments or punch-list items after the fact. Give him the key to your home and don't look back.
