JP is a very nice person. He ask me for a $4,000 deposit. I hate to give a down payment, especially when he doesn’t have to order anything. He promised that he would get our drawings completed last year. When I started to reach out to JP, the chase was on it took him a month to respond to my calls, texts and emails. I was not easy to deal with given that he was not responding. I tried to hold him accountable. His excuse was that he had a new puppy and the puppy was chewing everything. Really, are you kidding me? He started to create our drawing for an addition. He had no creative ideas, we had to give him our suggestions. I held him to a meeting on Friday afternoon’s. I think it was 3 Fridays for an hour. We saw very little preparation for each meetings. He sent us basic drawings of the exterior and interior layout. We were pleased to see progress. I know he wasn’t happy dealing with me, because I held him accountable. Then we received his invoice. Wow-I’m 68 years old and I thought I saw and dealt with everything and everyone in my 68 years. He billed me $8,700. My wife and I can’t believe his invoice for such little work performed. Be very very careful with JP- how do I trust him going forward. We want our drawings completed.

I couldn’t be happier with the design that JP came up with for my house! He took the time to think about me and my lifestyle and the design reflected that. In addition, his decorating skills are great. He took into account my budget and also made sure I ended up with the final result I was seeking. JP dug behind what I said I wanted to build and helped me achieve something even better than I had imagined.

JP Couture has guided me through a complete renovation/restoration of an 1810 house in Providence, Rhode Island. JP Couture has a sophisticated aesthetic and years of experience with many types of buildings. He is an expert in the restoration of old homes and he helped me accommodate my modern lifestyle while maintaining the historic integrity of the house. JP is communicative and pays attention to detail. He is a true professional and I would recommend him for any project. I was lucky to work with him, and my house is better for it.

We first met J.P. Couture in Providence RI many years ago, introduced to us by a mutual Designer acquaintance out of Newport who explained to us that he was a young talent and an up and coming superstar. That mutual acquaintance was being conservative. JP is one of those rare talents that everyone wants to be around and work with. The first thing you will notice about his work is a sophistication and mindfulness which just barely rears itself to professionals twice his age. Couture Design Associates was contracted to design a bungalow in the East Greenwich historic district, with the proviso that it appear as if it was built in 1910. JP Couture was creative with the limited space available for the project as well as the overall design. He took time to learn how we live, what we were seeking, and prepared an elegant design that included what we wanted and is perfect for our lifestyle. He participated in the entire process, from approvals to interior design, serving as a terrific negotiator, mediator, and advocate. We found it a pleasure to work with JP and all of the staff at Couture Design Associates, and would highly recommend them for any project!
