While Dan is mainly a landscape designer in Brooklyn and environs, he outdid himself crafting an amazing oasis for our workspace in downtown Austin, TX. Dan didn't just lean on gut or feel (which are special no doubt), but rather he researched the optimal approach for the right aesthetic look AND sustainable needs here in Austin. All plantings and hardscapes considered our growing lack of water. As an Ad Agency + Production Company first impressions are extremely important. We not only love the entire feel of our exterior, but unilaterally receive kudos from all that walk through our door. The deck and shade sail has sparked buzz and interest all over our area. Dan of GreenZone Landscape has helped design a cityscape oasis for my terrace in Brooklyn. He worked collaboratively with me on the design, materials, and hired expert craftsman to create a striking space. The mahogany trellis and moulding create a warm against the steel of the Corten planters. I look forward to the spring and filling all of the planters with sun bursting flowers and hearty grasses!

It was great working with Dan at GreenZone. He worked hard discussing and planning the garden redesign. He also gave us numerous options and came up with creative ideas, often things we had not considered. The work progressed well and we found the materials and execution to a very high standard. For many years (10+) we were unsure about how to move forward with our backyard plans. Dan’s suggestion that we build our garden in phases was the perfect solution to our dilemma. This gave us time to consider all of the design options as the garden evolved and the process became a creative collaboration. Dan has a special quality for combining materials, colors and textures together to create a cohesive and inviting space. We never imagined living with a hot pink wall and cor-ten planter boxes.
