DBS Remodel

We had a wonderful experience with DBS on a bathroom remodel. The team was fantastic -- skilled, easy to work with, and a joy to have in our home throughout the project. They took great care with our old house, and we'd use them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

For over 20 years now DBS has been the only place we go to for any of our remodeling needs. They have redone our two bathrooms, our kitchen, our family room, our bay window, our interior doors and hallways, etc. and will soon be redoing our roof. They are honest, reliable, professional and complete experts in what they do. I have never had a bad experience and they treat us with total respect and they value our business. There are no worries with them.

We recently completed our second remodeling project with DBS. We chose DBS because of the excellent workmanship and working conditions during our family room remodel. The current remodel was of our primary bathroom and again they exceeded our expectations in workmanship, cleanliness, responsiveness, and ease of working with. We give them our highest recommendations.

We recently completed our second major remodel with DBS and again, could not be more pleased. Their approach, which is exact and consistent, never fails to deliver a top quality product. From the initial meeting with Bob, working with the lead carpenter, dealing with the vendors, to the final walk through the process could not have been any easier. Excellent communications, detailed estimates, prompt and courteous staff and amazing workmanship are the standard for DBS. Bob, a true advocate, was instrumental in our understanding of the timeline, change orders, and industry issues. Our lead carpenter, Chris, turned our design into reality with an intense attention to detail, superior craftsmanship and creative suggestions. He skillfully managed all aspects of the project and was always present to assist vendors. Also, the administrative team, Jenn and Nadine, were clear in their communications, saw to our needs and addressed any issues promptly. We have completely transformed our space with the help of DBS and it is beautiful. We live in it daily and are thankful to the relationship we have created with them.

We recently had DBS remodel our kitchen, hall bathroom and master bathroom. The results were extraordinary — a complete transformation in each room! Their workmanship is top-notch and each member of the crew, as well as the office staff, was professional, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They were very committed to keeping us informed of what to expect that day and the upcoming days. They always made sure we knew which members of the crew would be coming on a given day, what time they planned to arrive each morning and would contact us if they were going to be delayed. Cleanliness was a high priority, whether it was covering floors and carpets with protective sheeting, installing dust barriers, running air filtration equipment, rearranging tools, boxes of tiles and other supplies to make our movement through the house/garage safer and easier or just cleaning up every day before they left — something rarely seen with other contractors. They handily navigated the supply disruptions of the pandemic, juggling work items to always maintain forward progress. They were always concerned with our satisfaction, never hesitating to consult with us if an unexpected or not previously discussed design decision needed to be made (as opposed to other contractors who would just plow ahead so they can get to the next job). During the project we had requested some changes/additions including replacing our front entry door and the door from the garage to the mudroom. In every case they were happy to accommodate our requests. Major renovations like ours are no small feat and there are always inconveniences, but thanks to caliber of the whole team from DBS our overall experience was much better than I ever expected and the results were spectacular!

DBS Remodel did a complete remodel of the master bathroom in our newly purchased condo. This remodel included completely gutting the old They put in a new vanity, large walk-in shower with no lip and grab bars and fixtures for seniors aging in place. They helped us design a new closet where an old shower was. The helped us select tile, fixtures, paint lighting and were flexible and accommodated many changes and additions to the project. They keep everything clean and neat while doing their work. The team members at DBS are personable, respectful of us and everything connected with the job. We have nothing but praise for Brian Altman and his team DBS. This was not the first project they have done for us, At our prior home which was a 200 plus year old farm house they replaced all of the windows, added basement supports, replaced the kitchen counter tops, installed ridge vents and cemented an old barn floor. They can handle anything on your bucket list. What makes DBS so outstanding? It's the people, their excellent skill/talent, their respect for the job and their respect for the people they help. DBS Remodel is outstanding in every way.

DBS did a kitchen remodel for us and the entire experience from beginning to end was incredibly smooth. Each DBS employee shares the owner's commitment to customer satisfaction. They're highly skilled, professional, courteous and dedicated. Lead carpenter Mike W. is the best in the business. DBS listens to its customers and cares about their opinions, thoughts, etc. Their dedication to outstanding results is unparalleled, and best of all they deliver. I can't imagine ever using a different remodeling company.

Recently we renovated nearly 1200 sq. ft. of our downstairs living space. This was a major undertaking which included the removal of a structural wall and a major redesign of our kitchen. After interviewing several contractors, architects, and design build firms, we selected DBS Remodel. To say it was the best decision we could have made is an understatement. At all stages, from our initial interview and planning with Bob, throughout the whole renovation with our Lead Carpenter Pete, and the final walk-through upon completion, we could not have been more impressed. The DBS team listened, responded, and executed beyond our expectations. Assigning a 5 star rating does not adequately describe the ‘ease’ we felt in our relationship with DBS and the absolutely beautiful space they delivered. They are an incredibly talented team and we look forward to our next project starting in a few months.

DBS Remodel is dependable and trustworthy. The work they do is beyond words. You can tell why they have stayed in business for so long, they know what they are doing and they prove it to you everyday and in the end result. We had a Trex deck with cable railing installed and a accessory apartment done in our home for my parents. All aspects of the company are there for you. You always had the support and knowledge of the office staff to help you through the many questions you have. The coordination of the work is true professionalism. They were at our house everyday during the project working hard, and at the end of the day they cleaned up as if they were never there. We were informed during the whole process, and when we wanted changes they were made with ease. Everyone that worked with us was kind, polite, and professional. We are going to miss them being at our house but hopefully not for long for I want them to do our kitchen in the near future.

DBS Remodel worked closely with me to turn an old screen porch into a fully-enclosed 3-season sunroom. They were professional, courteous, and listened attentatively to all my concerns. Their workmanship was excellent, and under the expert direction of Shane, the entire crew earned my trust, and I was completely comfortable having them working on my home. I have used them in the past for a number of remodeling projects, and I look forward to working with them again on future projects.

DBS Remodel is one of the most reliable, and professional company's we have ever had working on our house. Our foreman and his crew kept our house clean and dust free at the end of each work day. They are the friendliest bunch guys that you could have working on your home. I would recommend them to anyone.

We chose DBS for our large remodel, which included a new kitchen and bathroom, enlarging the dining room, partially raising the roof for two walk-in closets, etc., because of their outstanding reputation for customer service and professionalism (which is, in our opinion, unsurpassed)! The owner, Brian, began by going over every detail of the project so that there were no surprises. Throughout the process, he constantly checked in with us to make sure we were happy and to ensure that they were meeting all of our needs. Rob Wheeler was our project manager; he and his crew treated our home as if it were their own. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rob. We never had anything to worry about, as he took care of every detail with such professionalism, care, and patience. Every room was sealed off, and each evening everything was cleaned so that when the renovation was over, there was NO DUST anywhere! His team consistently showed the utmost respect for our home. All of the staff in Brian's office are always there to help with anything you need. Brian provides the best subcontractors who treat your home the same way DBS does. All the vendors we were sent to took care of all our needs with the same professionalism and courtesy. Working with DBS was a pleasure from start to finish, and when they say you are a part of their family, they mean it! They turned our house into our dream home, and we couldn't give them a higher recommendation if we tried!
