186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell I believe the pendants were chosen by Dallas Lyon of Lyon Design Group in Edwards, Colorado. You can try contacting her at http://www.interiordesigncolorado.net/contact.cfm and she should be able to give you the source. Good luck!

186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question because I designed the architectural lighting, but the homeowners picked the decorative lights themselves. Hopefully someone on Houzz will recognize it and give you a good answer. Good Luck!

186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell The recessed lights are square aperture shower lights using MR16 Halogen IR lamps. Halogen light can really bring out the color of objects it lights. Thx.

SORAA Halogen Lamps are known for its great color rendering index, but did you know there is a LED lamp that can now achieve a CRI >95 with a single source? I urge you to check out the SORAA VIVID MR16 lamps at www.soraa.com. You get all the benefits of leds such as low maintenance, energy savings, and now, great quality of light.

186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell The recessed were Halogen IR MR16s. LEDs are now getting comparable in output and color, but still quite a bit more expensive for the good stuff. Also, I think the small Metal Halide lamps are on their way out with LEDs. The warm up times and dimmability of Metal Halides make them difficult to use in residential applications.

186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell Thanks. The mirror was inset a few inches, just like 3"+/- . We used a linear strip light behind a shoji screen lens that ran floor to ceiling. I can't remember the exact dimensions of the pocket, but it's very important to make sure you have enough depth for the lens to eliminate any imaging of the light source behind. I would recommend mocking this up to make sure it's a clean line. Good Luck!

Terranova Construction, K & B what is creating the shadow in the corners of where the onyx meets?
186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell It's a bit more pronounced in the photo than in person. I'm not sure if it's structure below or if it's because we weren't able to get enough distance from the onyx to the light sheets. At the front edge, it appears in person to be darker because it's the place where the two pieces of onyx butt against each other and it's thicker here. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I was involved in the design and once it went to shop drawings, it was turned over to the general contractor.

Jason Dao Does the light need to be recessed so the reflection of the bulb doesn't show up with dots on the tiles?
186 Lighting Design Group - Gregg Mackell Yes, recessing helps...the further the better. However, with shiny things next to shiny things it's virtually impossible to eliminate reflections from all angles. If you're very concerned about dots, lensing the fixture or using a fixture that doesn't show any dots are both options. There are ways to detail this to eliminate the reflections, but it does get a bit complicated. Mock ups always help you understand how everything works together to eliminate the unknowns.

John Whipple - By Any Design ltd. This is the best product I have found for difficult waterproofing installations

We use Kerdi Fix for most of our lighting projects both as an adhesive and as a waterproofing material.
