Very knowledgeable, good price and did quality work. When a problem existed, they were open in communication and made us happy. They did a good job with the cleanup as well. Happy with the product.

Dexter Block was able to come to my house twice for a project estimate and gave valuable insight and ideas into the project that helped me be comfortable with the planned outcome. They gave my neighborhood association the information that was requested and worked within the guidelines of our bylaws. The retaining wall was done in a professional way and took much less time than I would have possibly anticipated and it looks great. They were also able to do a couple other small requests at the end to round out the effectiveness of the project by helping drainage issues around the back of the house. They were easy to work with, had solid ideas and did quality work.

Dexter Block (DB) repaired my garage foundation wall after it had been damaged by years of improper water run-off. Water had been leaking into the garage, the wall was leaning and the bricks sliding. This project included the removal of bushes, the building of temporary supports, taking down the wall, waterproofing, and rerouting water run-off to a buried PVC pipe. After rebuilding the wall, the exterior area was regraded and all debris removed. Most of the bricks were reused and new ones matched to fit. It was easy to reach the manager by cell phone to discuss plans and progress. He clearly described the procedure, reasons for each step, and fee structure. The cost was HALF the price of my other 2 quotes. The project was completed in the estimated time period. I was very pleased with the work and would definitely hire them again.

I have had Dexter Block fix my basement because of a leak that included but not limited to: Install a French Drain Replaced Drywall and Painted Dug out to to below the basement lever to seal and protect the basement outer wall from water- some sort of plastic barrier. Cleaned out the footing drain Installed wooden window well. The the window part, the rest of it. We also had Dexter Block do a patio and driveway extension that was very nice and professional. They also improved the drainage to help channel water away from the house. Dexter Block was very attentive to out needs and details. Also willing to give us suggestions when needed and proposed better solutions based on there experience. I would hire again.

Dexter Block repaired the crumbling bricks on my 2 chimneys. They were courteous, neat, and did a very nice job. I would highly recommend them for any brick work.

We purchased a home with a two way fireplace between the kitchen and great room. The fireplace itself was uninspiring and we had a vision. Kyle and his team were true craftsman, it is a work of art. We were able to work with Kyle on color/ style choices to achieve the exact look we wanted, The care and intricate work that was put into finishing this project was truly amazing and transformed our home. We couldn't be more pleased with how it looks and the depth it added to our home. The guys were all respectful of our home, taking care not to damage the hardwoods and cleaned up daily. Our only concern was the project management side of the project and inconsistency of the timeline to complete it. Dexter had a lot of projects going at once and any lag seemed to distract from ours. I would use Dexter block again but would insist on a timeline for completion and stay more engaged to keep it on track. Overall really good value for the quality of work and materials.

I hired Dexter Block to repair a front brick step. Original was built without a foundation. They provided two very reasonable proposals and I choose the lower cost option. The project was completed per the original estimate in two days. The staff was very professional from the estimate to cleanup and I would hire them again.

Dexter Block replaced damaged cinder blocks on our chimney. The work was done very professionally: they arrived punctually and finished the work within the time-frame that they estimated. They cleaned up thoroughly after the work - we had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. The work itself was of excellent quality. In fact, when we had the chimney inspected by a different, unrelated company, they remarked on the high quality of the work done. If our chimney needs any more work, this is the only local company that I would approach.

Dexter Block completely took out and rebuilt our foundation. The work was quality and the price was good, considering they did such a thorough job, even up to reseeding our lawn. They were a bit on the slow side, however. But we would recommend them.
